I just dropped all my gold on the silver box, "Great Box". I purchased 3 of these.
The ultra box is worse than the great box, the great box is nice. If you prioritize Lure Modules, the ultra box is better. But if you are like a normal person and prefer raid passes and are willing to pay 2 gold per lure model, the Great Box is best.
EDIT: The bronze box "Special Box" is garbage, because if you take two of these, and compare it to the silver box, its 960 gold versus 980 gold, and for the 20 additional gold you get 10 lure modules. That is great, 2 gold per lure module. These normally cost 100. So please never buy the bronze box.

Alas, I don't have the coins for any of the boxes! But that said I have a bunch of money saved from Google Surveys (super easy way to get a few bucks if you walk around with your phone - e.g. when playing GO! - and using google services). Doubt I would go for anything beyond the Special Box though - I just don't play that much and have unused Lures as it is.

These boxes are a very welcome change from the Anniversary Box but I'm still not a huge fan of the whole concept as is. I don't really see "Wahey guys it's a chance to spend MORE coins!" as a big event or a reward etc, would much rather the extra passes came in the form of something like 2 per day from gyms or one free raid per day which you didn't need a pass to take part in. Obviously they have good reason for wanting people to spend coins but it still feels a little greedy to me when this is supposed to be a celebration haha. Regardless, I probably won't buy one myself unless I manage to save up the coins for it as I've spent a tad too much money on this game already but I'll be coveting anyone who does!
