4kids TV to end 12/27/08

    Now for all you 4kids haters out there, this is a christmas gift. But for someone who grew up with it since it was the FoxBox, it is a thing that`ll ruin your holiday break. :( We've had some good times 4kids TV. From countless moments of laughter, supense, action, and sorrow you gave me tons of memories. We'll(or maybe just I'll) miss you. :'(

    I'll admit the Saturday morning cartoons once held a soft spot in my heart, but now I almost can stand 4Kids. They change the line up and times of their shows too much, making all the good shows air way too early. Waking up that early sort defeats the purpose of a Saturday.

    I don't see why this would be in Japanese entertainment. But I sure won't miss it. After it almost threw Pokemon out the window for Amerika, that'll be precious space for Fox to put Family Guy or something.

    Good riddance. After it changed from Fox Kids, it was destined to fall eventually.
     
    There is a God. You just proved it. (I may not watch it, but I've seen what they did, they made all the characters who star on their channel sing the National Anthem on your Independance day.)
     
    This means the changes of ti coming to the uk is no more.

    There was rumours about it comnig ehre, with 4kids tv ads showing in tesco once I believe, but now it will end in america and will not come here.. woo

    Dark Rayquaza That was only in the UK, in the US it changed to 4 kids tv. I am also sad about the fox kids -> jetix thing but that would be me going off topic.
     
    I grew up with it as Fox Kids but their dumbing down and excessive Americanization of shows was uncalled for. I say they had it coming.


    EDIT: It's just too bad that only the Block is going bye bye and not the company itself

    I never knew Fox Kids changed to 4Kids. I thought it changed to Jetix, because they give a lot of its shows. But thank god 4kids is gone. They had the most crappiest shows there.
     
    ..........It's over. It's finally over. I watched in pain as the programming block I loved so much as a child turned into........ Sanji with a Jersey Accent. Hopefully the younger generation will never have to settle for that crap ever again.
     
    Yeah, there's the CW4Kids. You know, they replaced KidsWB?

    I say it's a sad day because Kirby, Sonic, and yes Winx are most likely gone. Of course, the company isn't dead, just one of their channels. But I hope the move TMNT to replace Will&Dewit though. Yuck.
     
    Yup, they still have CW4Kids.

    Personally, I didn't mind the Dinosaur King dub, but that was about it.

    Giving Sanji that accent, replacing his cigar with a lollipop, and making Luffy's attacks less violent, plus messing up a lot more stuff... Yeah... Though I think it really belongs to Funimation? It was just that 4Kids showed it, which is probably why they took it off.

    They also screwed up Tokyo Mew Mew and Ojamajo Doremi. Oh, and Sonic. Did you know that some of the staff working on the dub had never played a Sonic game or watched a show/read the comic, thus making plenty of screw-ups in the beginning due to lack of research? I'm telling you, it's pathetic if you ask me.

    And then, the Pokemon "Lost Episode". They should've just kept it "lost". I mean, I can understand why they didn't show it, but really, they should've just released and uncut but dubbed version on tape and warn the parents/children for its content. I can understand why they took some episodes off TV after 9/11, though (like the Tentacool and Tentacruel one, the one I believe came after the "Lost" episode?).

    But yeah. I'm an avid cartoon watcher *don't send me to "cartoon watchers anon., please O.o*, so I know a lot of these things.
     
    4Kids had One Piece. Then FUNimation got it.

    I personally didn't mind Sonic X so much because I had low expectations for any 4Kids aquisitions at the time. It was just kind of expected.
     
    They did a good job dubbing Digimon, too, IMO. But... Yeah...

    Fox Kids was a whole lot better (it even had Medabots =D). Fox Box wasn't too bad either (it had Kirby =O), but... 4Kids just ruined the whole thing.
