if burn doubled in strength every turn it would be vastly over powered

Exactly. I think he meant the damage done. Really, any cleric solves that problem.

EDIT: 1000 posts!!!!!!!! In this thread!!!!! *Dances*

Fester should have 5 PP and lower accuracy...burn lowers attack too, so it should be weaker than toxic PP and acc-wise.

Fester
Bug
5 PP
-- Power
70 Accuracy
Effect: Hurls a blob of sticky goo that may cause a Burn. Each turn, the damage dealt by this burn doubles.

Vector
Bug
15 PP
50 Power
90 Accuracy
Effect: A basic bite attack. If the user has a special condition, the enemy gets that condition as well.

Ambrosia
Bug
15 PP
-- Power
100 Accuracy
Effect: Ejects a sweet, aroma-filled nectar at the enemy. Confuses the target, but heals them for 1/4 of their maximum health. Like Swagger, but it heals them instead.

Scan
Bug
20 PP
-- Power
-- Accuracy
Effect: Normalizes the EVA of one Pokemon, reveals their held item and their ability, and warns of any moves that may be threatening to the user.

Parasite
Bug
15 PP
20 Power
85 Accuracy
Effect: Latches onto the target, draining their energy for 2-5 turns. While attached, the enemy cannot retreat. *Insert Leech Seed effect* for the duration of the attack. This is like Wrap + Leech Seed.

Burrow Trap
Bug
30 PP
40 Power
100 Accuracy
Effect: Does double damage to retreating enemies.

Not sure what you meant, but it learns a different set of elemental punches - Shadow Punch, Drain Punch, Sucker Punch. I think those three can hit anything.

I know those Punches are good but just like Dusclops and Dragonite having the ability of learning those Banette should as well. Well they should make those Element Punches TM since it is somewhat common toward me now for some odd reason

:t354:TG

Yeah, I've always thought that some Pokemon should learn the punches but couldn't. NEW MOVES ALERT

Droop
Grass
Tricks opponent into thinking its weaker than it actually is, increases SPDEF
PP:15

Mind Swipe
Psychic
Special form of explosion

Boom
Fire
KABOOM! Lots of DAMAGE too lazy to write more.

maybe make it a scarab/beetlish looking guy or another spider

uhhhhhh.....ok.I'm making a Fire/bug Type pokemon and i was wondering what i should base it off of?

Parasite has been mentioned a lot now...lol, we're repeating ideas. Ah well. I'm likin the ideas. I say the fire ant is actually a GOOD bug pokemon, maybe a special heracross?

i actually laughed out loud. i don't care how terrible the stats, i would use a dung beetle poke that throws "mud and gunk" at things

A little cramped togather, wouldn't ya say? For a raticate evo, I doubt it would lose speed and gain defense...maybe switch those two stats around? Eh, I'd personally keep the typing the same. I'm tired of evos as it is...but yeah, raticate is a rat, I doubt it gets meteor mash. also, mirrors are pretty easy to break, just so ya know. lol, I liek the movepool, though the fang theme goes a bit overboard IMO

So my ideas are:
Scarab(1 vote)
Firebug(1 vote)
Tarantula(2 Votes)
Ladybug(1 vote)
Wasp(1 vote)
Fire Ant(1 Vote)

I say I have to vote for Firebug cause I've never heard of them. Also where should I go about looking for info on the Firebug. Also I say no to Waspie cause I got stung by a Bee today and my finger is still swollen like 2 times its origonal size.

Bulbasaur (Dinosaur), Chikorita (Dinosaur), Treecko (Geeko-Dinosaur evolution), Turtwig (Turtle-Dinosaur evolution)

Verdict: Grass starters are dinosaurs.

5th gen Grass: Stymoss- Dinosaur counterpart

Charmander (Salamander/Dinosaur), Cyndaquil (Echidna-Wolverine in evolution), Torchic (Chicken hatchling/chicken), Chimchar (Ape)

Verdict: Not repetative, may be something unknown. Possibly a bear?

5th Gen Fire: Cynderpaw? though this could work for many species of animals.

Squirtle (Turtle), Totodile (Crocodile), Mudkip (mudpuppy/salamander), Piplup (Penguin)

Verdict: All revolve around water, and so far piplup is the only warm blooded species, perhaps another warm blooded, maybe a mammal since seeing the comparison of other element typed starters and the partern.

5th Gen Water: Dripot?

Though ideas are slim choices can be from an otter, shark, or manatee.

Of course starters all have a basic linear set of moves that they learn, besides a few new ones.

waspie
bug/poison
can be caught at route 240
D dont be fooled even though this pokemon is small its stinger is painful
P this pokemon may look weak but when it eveolves it stringers size grows
attacks
poison sting
repeated sting *
bug buzz
repeated sting strikes 2-5 times pokemon keepes on stinging ur pokemon for 2-5 turns atk power 20 acc 80
evos coming soon

I've had some ideas for starters that break through the dinosaur thing. Grass is the Moss Pokemon, and kind of looks like a star shaped Pokemon with a brown front and a mossy back, evolves and gets bigger and stronger. Fire is a Hyena, cute little puppy that laughs a lot. And Water is The Paddle Pokemon, and is a little polar bear with a paddle-like tail.

Frost Pillar
Power : 100
Acc : 80
Category : Physical
Description : Has 30% chance of Flinching foe. Accuracy decreases by 20% subtraction in Rainy weather.

Shadow Fang

Make it have Leech Life like all bugs do! lol

Leech Life, official worst attacking move ever.

NEW ATTACK

Moisture Drain
Water
Sucks all water from the are, removes Rain Dance, hurts foe
