[PokeCommunity.com] 999 Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors

    Summary from Wikipedia said:
The gameplay is divided into two parts. The Puzzle part is when the player must solve the puzzles that are blocking their way in order to progress the game, and the visual novel part in which the player can talk to the other characters and make decisions that affect the story of the game. Junpei or the other characters may die depending on what doors and dialogue choices the player makes. There are 6 endings in total. The player's decisions will widely affect which ending is received. Only 1 ending is the true ending.

    Essentially, this game is a visual novel, and you can play through it six times. On the replay, however, you can fast-forward through text you've read already so it's not incredibly tedious XD;
I started the game the other day, and it's ~definitely~ one of my favorite games I've ever played.
The plot made my head explode, essentially. It was so insane. :<

    So, yeah.

Has anyone else ever played it? 8D

    EDIT:

LOL I FORGOT TO EMBED THE TRAILER

    This sounds... interesting.
I have never even heard of this game before but I think I will have to check it out.

I will get back to you on what I think of it.

This game is amazing. I played through it 11 times to see pretty much everything I could. The true ending is amazing, and I'm hoping the very last scene is a nudge to a sequel. ^_^

Ending spoilers below. If you plan to play this game/are playing it now, do NOT open it. You have been warned - the plot of this game is amazing, don't spoil it for yourself.

    Spoiler:

Should anyone have questions about the plot, please feel free to ask, I know it's a complicated story. Make sure to mark spoilers though. ^_^

I've just started playing it, but it had me enthralled for longer than I realised. I'm not that far into the game yet and I've already found myself a certain points exclaiming things out loud, i.e.,

    Spoiler:

But I'm already think that it's a pretty good game.~

Don't worry Daydream, the game never actually shows you any gruesome images, I don't think Nintendo would have allowed that. All you get is huge blood splatters on the walls, and horrifying descriptions. =P

Wow, this game looks amazing. I looked at some of the reviews of the game (on Gamespot, Amazon, etc.), and some were complaining about the heavy reading. Rather than seeing that as a negative, I see that as a huge positive. It will make the game seem different and more "fresh" than the recent titles I've been playing. I will definitely be getting it this Christmas. Thanks for pointing this game out!

Yeah, I heard about this game not too long ago. Really piqued my interest, I mean I love visual novels for one! Anyways, so I asked it for Christmas/Birthday since I'm too lazy to actually go out and buy it. Pretty excited, I've heard really good things. I'll probably be back to tell you all my opinion ;P

I really like interactive novel-type games (Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk ftw?) and when I saw a short blurb about this game a while back, I was immediately interested. I didn't know it's out now, so perhaps I'll go out and get it sometime soon (Christmas always means money, afterall XD).

This game is heaps of fun, and I don't see why it's rated M, besides the small amount of blood (I mean that because you don't see it too much) and the excessive swearing, but I'm not at the end of the game yet. I'm at...
    Spoiler:

I'm enjoying this game as it's a good brain teaser. Kinda like the Picross series.

I gotta disagree. The description of some of the scenes in the game made me want to throw up, to be perfectly honest. So I think the rating of M was fine, spot-on, even.

This game is amazing though. I got it for Christmas, and I'm already done 3 of the endings. They were all the bad endings, so I'm going to shoot for the better endings. My favorite character so far is Lotus. I stuck with her the entire way through my first run, and so her development and etc, she sort of just stuck to me. =) I'd recommend this game to anybody to be honest.

999 received universal acclaim, with several near perfect scores emphasizing its well written story, remarkable presentation, and addictive gameplay. Some of the notable review scores are 10/10 from Destructoid, 9/10 from Nintendo Power, IGN and GamesRadar, and 4.5/5 from Cheat Code Central.[4] The game received a score of 89 on Metacritic, based on 7 critics.
Totally buying it. With ratings like this, there's no doubt about it. I'm gonna look for it the next time I'm buying DS games. Hope they have it in stock here. ._.
