If you picked Mudkip in RSE, what level was he before the first gym?

I picked Mudkip in Emerald, and I think he was around Level 13-14 by the first gym.

a lv 16 marshtomp, with some help from my trusty shroomish lv 14

Mudkip fails at 3rd gym at any level.

I had him at 34 an he didn't get close. Evolved to Marshtomp and bingo!

i beat that gym with a lv 16 marshtomp once or twice.

i never hold anything back from evolving, except if it learns a new move in a lv or 2 that is good

i didn't evlove mudkip and i got past there fine

meh, i usually avoid wild battles unless i want to catch something out of the wild. otherwise i just stick to trainers

no i used him for catching the legendies becasue he would dig not get hurt and hit them then
i would throw out my shroish put it to sleep then catch it
