A 50 year old man watching anime. :O

There's nothing wrong with a fifty year old man watching anime. TV programs are for everyone. If he wants to watch it, it's his business, and no one elses. I do hate when this type of thing pops up, though. If you're not going to complain about a seven year old watching the news, then let a fifty year old, grown man have his anime!
 
I don't see a problem. A person's entitled to their own tastes, and anime isn't meant to be restricted the kids and teenagers only anyway.
 
Considering the Wii allows even your 80 year old grandmother to play Wii Sports, a fifty year old watching anime isn't really that shocking.

Said everything I possibly could have and more.

I mean, what's the problem with someone enjoying their time? O_o I don't mind it at all. There's no "age limit" for anime. No life? For all you know they many have a successful career and turn on some Bleach to relax when they come home. XD

Also, watching anime at an established age should in no way "stereotype?" whether he prefers the same gender or not.

I think it's perfectly fine, and if he wants to watch some anime, good for him.
 
To me. In thought what's the difference? Age is just a number that reflects a person's look and personality a bit. That shouldn't stop anyone from doing what they want ( Staying in a sane world )

Umm...actually you do seem to think that there's something wrong with it, seeing as how this 50-year old guy watching anime immediately made you draw the conclusion that he doesn't have a life or isn't enjoying it. *Pokes first post* So which is it; no problem or a sign of life's end? I don't really see how you can claim to hold both views at the same time. o.O

As for the 'gay' thing...I'm speechless, to be honest. Unless he's exclusively focused on some kind of HC yaoi series then I don't see how anyone could draw such a bizarre conclusion.

Really, I don't see why anyone should find reason to comment on a 50-year old liking cartoons...or think any less of him/her because of it. Everyone has their little hobbies. :3

I think it's awesome that someone from an older generation is taking an interest in modern technology. I mean back in the old days, animation was done with feeble blobs of clay and string. Now it's all computer designed, which is facinating taking into consideration how far animation and technology has come over the last 50 years. So no, he isn't gay on this basis. His sexuality would define that ;)

He will have a life, or rather has had one whichever way you look at it. 50 years old is still young in some books.

Next people will be calling people who play Pokemon who aren't 15 or below gay. lol Just shows that some people think too much about their genitals and which way they are pointing.

Aye, this makes me wonder though - will anime have become old in those amazingly long 30-40 years from now? Tons of old people will watch anime, but all the new youngins are going to find something cooler D; The mind wobbles.

I believe that Anime is for everyone no matter what age. I won't be surprised to see a 50 year old watching the latest shounen flick or something. I mean aren't those the group of people who mostly watches those lolicon and Shoutacon anime? ;D

I don't see why people would see him "gay". What's the difference between a Teenager watching an anime then an old man watching an anime? It might be rare to see an old man watch it but still, people are entitled to their own opinion and I can't be the judge of that. ;D

I know, it's just like us youths watching Countdown and 15 to 1 and those poorly acted shootout scenes in 50's cowboy movies etc, which older people watch a great deal. Doesn't make a difference. Still entertainment showing that it appeals to even wider audiences.

And it is proven that thinking too much with genitals results in killer 'migranes'.... eeek! :P
 
It's what my dad does.
I think he's fifty. I dunno.

What does watching anime have to do with being gay? The conclusions people in this world are jumping to these days.....
 
On Anime Suki at least two of the members are well over fifty years of age, while I was there at least.
I just see it like I see any other person, that's what they do, their life, meh.
