4th Gen A few questions I need answered...

    I'm very sorry if I come off as a noob, or if these questions have already been asked, but I've just got to know a few things.

    1) Leafeon has an ability called Leaf Guard, which prevents status problems. Theoretically, a Leafeon could be a restorative tank with its base 130 defense combined with Sunny Day and Rest. How, you say? Well, rest puts you to sleep, but with Leaf Guard, you should be forced to wake up immediately after resting if Sunny Day had been used beforehand. I tested this at work, and to my great dismay, it did not work. However, I have seen a friend use Manaphy's Hydration ability combined with Rain Dance and Rest and wake up immediately afterwards. Could this have happened just because Manaphy is an uber and Leafeon isn't? I really don't want to hear that training my Leafeon to 71 just for Leaf Blade was a waste, but it's better to know bad news than to never have known at all...


    2) My second question is one bearing much less gravity, and to be perfectly honest it belongs in a separate thread, but I didn't want to split this one up (I'm lazy like that, sorry!:nervous: ) Anyhoo, I was just wondering if it was possible at all to find a Magnemite anywhere in Diamond/Pearl? As a follow-up, if it isn't possible, does anyone have a Megnemite that they could bring in from a previous game and trade to me? I'm sure I can get a pokemon of equal value to you.

    I'm not too sure about Leafia as I have yet to test it, but about Magnemite.

    You can find it as a swarm in Fuego Ironworks after you receive National Dex, that's the only location in D/P.
     
    just use the Pal park from your previous games to get Magnetmite if your impatient

    Believe me, I would if I could, but I don't have any of the Generation 3 games. :(

    that's kinda gay.. just saw some guy that had in his sig he's playing the girl character.. stupid.. it's bad enough you play an 8 year old.. why also be transexual?

    Believe it or not, Girls do play this game, and you shouldn't say what you said, as yes, 8 year olds are on these forums. =p

    Like Myzou said ^^ it's not only guys who play this. There's nothing wrong with someone playing as a character of the opposite sex in a game.
     
    Dutch Courage, your remark can be construed as offensive to some groups. There are many guys who like to play as the other character in other games, too. One of our rules here at PC is to respect all members, so don't make remarks like that.

    of course there should be a female character, because you know, it's not really an rpg.. after the story line YOU are training YOUR pokemon and you'll fight other real people and their pokemon. that's out game, that's you.. so it's kinda strange that people see a female avatar on the pal pad then when you would be male..

    i mean, when people chose the female character in a 3rd person rpg im like 'okay, you do have to look at the back of it all the time'.. but still, why would you in pokemon?

    but of course, no offense ment, i'm dutch, so i'm used to a lot
     
    ...because you're not forced to choose your own gender? That remark was just pointless. Anyway this thread's going waaay downhill fast.
