A Gym Leader's Journey Sign-Ups are CLOSED! With the exception of the exceptional
Plot:
This was a time before the famous Pokemon Tourney. A time before the Elite 4. A time before Gym Leaders. People still battled with their Pokemon, but not for badges, or money, or fame. They did it for the pure fun of it. But that would all change soon. There was word going around that the best trainers in all the land were recruiting talented trainers to run things called "Gym's". The "Gym Leaders" were to have a specialty in one specific type and take on any trainer that challenged them.
Many talented trainers took up the challenge, but only 8 would succeed. The road ahead of them would be filled with many tough trials and decisions. But what they didn't know was that a newly formed team of evil-doers, known as Team Crisis, was out to crush their dreams and rule the region as the most powerful trainers.
Team Crisis was lead by Drogan Mallice. They were a newly formed team, formed from the lust of stealing Pokemon and ruling the world. Their goal was to stop the formation of the Gym's and defeat the would-be Gym Leaders so they could reign supreme.
Now it is up to you, to either form these Gym's or stop them. The choice is yours. And let your journey be filled with excitement, adventure, and success!
----------------------------------- Setting:
This RP will take place in the Kanto Region. But this is before any Gym's were built, so don't walk into Pewter City saying "Oh, look! Brock's Gym!". The cities and towns are still the same, just Gymless. You will be forming, or destroying, the Gym's in these cities and towns later on in the RP. Most of the towns, like Lavender and Pallet, are rural areas with few people living there. The cities are fairly busy, but not as busy as they will be when the Gym's are formed. All in-game areas will be present to. And by in-game areas, I mean places like Seafoam Islands, Cerulean Cave, etc. There also might be a couple of new places I could throw in. But we'll just have to wait and see for that.
----------------------------------- Rules: 1. ALL of the Poke'Community Forum rules apply 2. NO GODMODDING, BUNNYING, OR POWERPLAYING OF ANY KIND! 3. NO going outside your specified type! 4. NO bashing other RP'ers! Nobody likes people who are rude. 5. Their is a two-paragraph MINIMUM! If you break this offence 3 times, you WILL be kicked! 6. NO CATCHING LEGENDARIES!!! 7. NO SCRIPTING OF ANY KIND! 8. Any and all NPC and Wild Pokemon battles will be played by me, all pokemon evolutions and captures will also be decided by me. For an evolution, PM me and I will decide if your pokemon has earned it yet 9. Have Fun!!!
To prove to me you have read this, PM me with this sentence: I have read the rules of your RP, and i promise to obide by them.

Appearance: Josh is a relatively tall boy for his age, tall enough to be pointed out for this fact. His body shape leans a little towards the thinner side, most likely a trait associated with his height. Due to his body shape, he has been called "Beanpole" numerous amounts of times much to his displeasure. His skin is the normal golden tan of someone who stays outdoors. His hair is a sun-kissed light brown, lighter golds marbled within. It's a little on the long side, particularly around his fringe. His eyes are perhaps the plainest one would ever see, being dull brown with little variation anywhere across his iris. The rest of his thin face is equally unremarkable.
Josh opts for simple clothing: black shirt and jeans, really, how more basic can you get? The button-up shirt is rather matte in its colour, not being anything fancy enough to warrant an iron every day. Josh generally leaves the top button undone. Around his neck hangs a silver chain with a gold and silver cross-shaped pendant. On top of his head is a pair of sunglasses that he wears on very glary days. His jeans are just that: Plain old denim jeans. They're relatively new, and so are not scuffed. On his feet is a pair of black running shoes.
History: Josh's family has lived in Pewter city for many generations, and Josh is no exception. Bred, born and raised in the slate-grey city, he has never once before set foot outside its limits. And he was perfectly happy that way, growing up, visiting the museum… He was perfectly content. That was, however, before he saw a few older kids battling with their Pokémon. He had always seen Pokémon purely as pets and never as fighters. This new concept excited him far beyond anything previously in his life.
He became more interested in his family's pet Spearow, having seen it harry at a Caterpie which was unfortunate enough to be in the O'Dwyer's backyard at the same time as the viscous little bird. Josh began to train the small creature to battle, and by the time he was eleven he became of the best battlers in his class, then his year, and then with a few rental Pokémon his school. He thought nothing could stand between him and Spearow!
…Except death. Josh was staying over at a friend's house one night, and Spearow was sleeping in the O'Dwyer's backyard for Josh's parents forgot to let it back in. That happened to be the one night that a particularly hungry Mightyena was roaming the streets, caught a whiff of the unprotected bird and within minutes all that was left was a bloodstain and some feathers. Josh was crushed, and stopped focusing on anything to do with battling. That was, until a woman he had seen on TV for being one of the most famous trainers approached him, inquiring about his talent and if he would take up a particular offer of becoming strong enough to form something called a "Gym"…
Personality: Josh is a rather confident boy, letting nothing get in his way. He's loud and very honest, which does create the occasional problem. He tends to go with the flow and generally avoids thinking for himself if possible, but if an idea strikes him it's like a lightning bolt with recurring static, it sticks to him and doesn't go away unless he executes said idea: he's highly motivated to extract these ideas to their fullest. He's quite a nice person in general, and doesn't like making enemies – though admittedly, he has via those wacky schemes his brain shoots him with. He's quite caring, yet when the going gets tough he is his number one priority. He can't say no to a fight, whether it just be a simple Pokémon battle or a real, full-out brawl.

Accepted. I liked it. Very creative. The whole spearow thing made me think you would be a flying trainer, but you suprised me with the fire. I would like a little backstory on how you obtained Charmander though.
BY THE WAY GUYS! You don't have to pick a starter pokemon as your starter. Like it doesn't have to be bulbasaur, squirtle, etc. Any lowest-evolution pokemon following your type will work
Dropping out really just because I don't want to roleplay; Only signed up because I was asked to :x

FINALLY DONE
Name: Noah Azhael
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Trainer type: Team Crisis
Appearance: Noah's overall height is slightly shorter than the average height; Only standing at 5'5". Accompanying his short height, is his lack of weight, weighing just above 100 pounds. As imagined, he bears no fat, only slight muscle. Despite the unfit appearance, he is in good shape. Most of the time, his black hair is spiked from the back of his head, but not on the top. When reaching his forehead, his hair is styled downwards to the right, leaving most of the left side of his forehead visible, with slight lochs of hair styled downwards in that area. When wearing a hat, he always wears it backwards. His eyes are hazel, with a tint of blue. He wears black-thick rimmed glasses. For jewelry, he wears a nose ring, snake bites, and gauges. On occasion, he is seen with black dashes under his eyes. He has a goatee going on his chin. He has a few tattoos; A skull with bat wings on his left shoulder, the letters L and P crossed into each other in a circle, and the letters "MCR" on his lower back.
Around his neck, Noah wears two dog tag necklaces, and one normal necklace. On his hands, he wears black, fingerless gloves. Most of the time, he wears a black shirt, and a black jacket sometimes. Around his waist, he wears a spiked belt, with six blank areas for Pokeballs. He usually wears blue Levi jeans. He wears Vans for shoes, that can be slipped on and off, not being completely tied.
History: Noah, still young, has lived anything but a normal life. Noah's family could be considered to be called 'rich', or anything along those lines. This usually is a shocker, really, due to his personality, not being a stuck up spoiled brat or anything of the type; in fact, growing up in a heavily populated area like Vermillion City, he hated it, only enjoying just a few of the perks. He was always treated differently for being rich, whether people were trying to be his friend just to use him for the said perks, or like Ponyta crap for people envying his lifestyle. He was treated like so, until he actually got into the battling world, at age 13. When he turned that age, he ran away from his home, finally getting away from the place he would now describe as a "wretched hellhole".
Even though his career as a Pokemon battler has been short, he has gotten in so much in all the time, having more and more fun with each battle, never even using his own Pokemon! His travels caused him to get lost one day in Viridian Forest. Having spent a total of a week lost in the forest, when he got out, he had gained a newfound love for bug Pokemon, making friends with a few stray Pokemon of the type. When he finally got out, he continued living his 'normal', in his sense, life. The more battles he fought and won eventually got him invited to some parties, which is where he got his current personality.
During recent events, while battling with a friend of his at a party, he heard about the gym leader ordeal. He talked the idea over with his friends, but his final mindset was that he wanted everything to stay the same.
Personality: Despite his metal head appearance, Noah is a pretty laid back person, most of the time. If his personality could shortly be described, it would be done so as one who goes with the flow. He is a joy to be around, too; Quite literally the life of the party. He is also a silly person, making jokes, and using whatever material he can, easily able to think on his feet. Obviously, he is a very smart, and nice person. However, he can fly off the chain, which is something you don't want to be around for when it happens. In such a situation, he will either ask whoever is angering him to stop, or he will try to ignore the person. In all seriousness, he sticks to a plan from beginning to end, focused, and not caught off guard. Along with the serious side, Noah is a completely different person in battle, using his smarts in form of battle tactics, fighting on until the end.
Other info: Though he would seem like a trainer up for the gym leader challenge, he would like to keep everything as is.
Too, he enjoys underage drinking.
He also dislikes people who are rich and brag about it, though he will not treat them badly or anything.

RP Sample: yayy a made up/battle sample thing using a previous character of mine (Marcus from Kats GT)
Spoiler:
"Alright, great one, Nidoking!" exclaimed Marcus, as an opponent Pokemon fell to the ground, defeated.
A trainer rushed over to it, engulfing it's body in a red energy, returning it to its Pokeball. "Ah! You got me! Darn! Well, I bet you won't be able to defeat my friend! CJ, beat this guy!"
"What's the problem, bro?" A teenage walked up to his defeated friend, taking a look at Marcus and his Nidoking. "So, you want me to defeat this kid? He don't look so tough."
"Looks can be deceiving. A two on two match sound good with you?"
"'s good with me. Come on out, Tauros! Show this guys Nidoking some real muscle, Horn Attack!"
"Nidoking, counter it, Mega Punch!"
Exclaimed to two trainers. The bull Pokemon stomped its feet on the ground, exhaling a violent breath before charging at Nidoking, full speed. However, Nidoking was ready to counter, charging a white power in its fist, thrusting it out towards the opposing Tauros.
"Tauros, duck!"
Tauros, before being hit by the power fist, ducked its head. The attack continued, Tauros' horns making full contact with Nidokings body.
"Now, toss it in the air, and use Flamethrower!"
The bull used all its might to pick up the heavy Nidoking, but it still managed to do so. Tauros, once more using all its might, tossed the helpless Nidoking into the air. As Nidoking let out a yell while airborne, a vigorous flame rushed towards him; completely unable to defend himself. He suffered a burn from the intense heat, so once he fell to the ground, he was defeated.
"Ah! Nidoking, you did your best. This next one is not going to be so easy- go, Scyther!" Marcus threw out a Pokeball in front of himself. Emerged was a bug with scythes and wings.
"Ha! Did you just not see that Flamethrower? Tauros, finish it!"
"The flames won't be an issue. Scyther, dodge and use Slash!"
Once again, Tauros launched a fury of flames, but not in time for Scyther to use its speed to go under. In a mere second, Scyther slashed violently at Tauros. The flames ceased on contact, as the impact from under itself caused it to go airborne, like the previous defeated opponent.
"Use Silver Wind to finish it!"
Scyther nodded, as its wings began to glow a silver color. Quickly, Scythers wings began moving rapidly, creating a strong gust of win that was Silver Wind. When Tauros landed on the ground, it was immediately knocked back down from the Silver Wind. Obviously, Tauros was now defeated.
"Damn! Tauros, return! Go, Graveler, Rollout!"
CJ threw out a Pokeball, and out came a literal rolling rock. Scyther was hit, but not defeated, despite the type disadvantage.
"I guess that one took me by surprise… Hm…Scyther, we gotta keep it off the ground. Swords Dance and Air Slash!"
Scyther quickly spun around, creating a gust of wind around itself, which was broke by its scythes. Graveler was once again rolling towards Scyther at a dangerous speed, however Scyther countered with a powerful ball of wind, which was launched at the ground below Graveler. The rock Pokemon was airborne, leaving Scyther complete chance to hit. Scyther charged forward, slashing at the rock hard exterior. Despite this powerful looking hit, the rock Pokemon only received any mass amounts of damage from hitting the ground.
"Ha! You really think your puny bug can defeat a rock type!? Rock Blast!"
"I don't think Scyther'll stand for that! X-Scissor, full power!"
Once again, the two Pokemon were at it. Graveler began launching rocks at Scyther. However, it was prepared; Scyther, panting, crossed its scythes in form of an x, slashing each rock the came at it into four pieces. After the rocky attack, Scyther gave a threatening and confident smirk, as it was its turn to attack. Scyther once again used its impressive speed to fly towards the opponent, using the x shaped slash up close on Graveler in no time at all.
"Now, use the finisher combo we've been working on!"
Scyther used Slash, but below the hurt Graveler. It was now sent airborne. Once it was, Scyther used the silver gusts of wind to launch it into the air further. Once this feat was accomplished, it was time for the final blow. Scyther jumped and flew up above the flailing, helpless Graveler. Using X-Scissor at full power, the attacks intensity caused Graveler to fly down to the earth at a high speed. Once Graveler hit the ground, it literally caused a crater effect, leaving a hole in the ground in impact. Scyther too, flew down to the ground, tired from the tedious battle.
"Graveler, return! Guess you were right about the looks can be deceiving thing…" Said CJ, returning his utterly defeated Pokemon.
"Good job Scyther, you deserve a rest. And, nothing' to it. Just trust your Pokemon in battle, and don't always count on looks."
To be completely honest, I'm reusing my favorite character. :x I only got to post with him three times, as the RP died shortly after.
Name: Jett Donnovan Age: 16 Gender: Male Trainer type: Team Crisis.
Appearance: Jett stands at around 5'10". He weighs very little for his height, amounting to no more than 112 pounds. His body is quite slim--most people can fit their hand around his wrist with ease. Though, that isn't to say he looks sickly, as he certainly doesn't. His bones aren't visible, and, while he's small, it isn't a trait most people can pick up on without having their hands all over him...and he's not going to let that happen. Ebony hair falls across his pale forehead, parted on the left side, causing his right eye to be completely obscured by his side bangs. His greyish-black eyes are somewhat narrow, slanting ever so slightly upwards. A devious grin can often be seen painted across his face. Around his slender neck, he wears a black choker. Jett wears a white button down shirt, form fitting yet has moving room, a red tie hanging loose around his neck. Atop this, he wears a black dress jacket that matches his nice black dress pants. His feet are covered by a pair of black dress shoes. Both his shirts are long enough that they obscure the Pokéballs latched onto his belt. To cover his face, he wears a black bandanna around his nose and mouth. All in all, Jett looks relatively nice, if not incredibly emo.
History: Jett was born in Ecruteak City in Northern Johto. His family was extremely wealthy, and gave him all the opportunities in the world. He was a happy baby, never wanting anything more than to play with his toys, perhaps watch a video from time to time. He had an older sister-Heather-who was the pride of the family. She was an excellent Pokémon trainer, and the favorite Donnovan child. As a result, their parents would dote on her, leaving Jett to entertain himself. As Jett grew up, he was compared constantly to Heather, as she was thirteen years his elder. He felt his parents were trying to raise another Heather, rather than accept him for who he was. Try as he might, nothing Jett did was ever good enough, as he didn't do it as well as Heather. When he was five, he was enrolled in a private kindergarten, where he met his then-best-friend, Akihiko. He would spend hours after school at the other boy's house, as it meant that he would not have to go home and face the wrath of his parents. When he finally did go home, they often had begun to dote on Heather, thus leaving Jett to sulk in peace in his room. Because he was alone in his room so much, he developed a brilliant imagination, and subsequently, a brilliant mind. He would often devise plans to escape, despite being only six years of age. He ran away from home numerous times, but had to return for one reason or another. Upon walking through the door, his father would pull out a wooden spoon and spank Jett with it.
The day Jett turned seven was the same day that Heather had a huge battle. His parents tried to take him along, but he refused to go with them, so the boy ended up spending his birthday alone. Or, at least, he would have, had Akihiko not come over that day. His friend brought him a cupcake (haphazardly made, but still, the thought had been nice), topped by a single candle. The two spent the rest of the day together, only separated when Jett's parents returned late that night. He later found out that his parents had been too busy planning for Heather's battle to purchase presents for him. That day, his only gift was a single cupcake. Despite being plagued with misery, Jett still tried as hard as he could to be happy. He would find small things to take pleasure in on days where he couldn't see Akihiko, such as reading comics, or flipping a coin to see how many times it would show tails. While it seems as though it was a sad life, these little pleasures helped Jett cope with day-to-day life, and, when coupled with Akihiko, are probably among the reasons he is still alive to this day.
When he was eight, he began to attend public school, along with his best friend Akihiko. The two were often picked on, both for being small and pale. This never affected them much, as they always had each other to fall back upon. Jett and Akihiko became closer by suffering together, so the taunting had turned out to be a blessing in disguise. While other kids played on the jungle gym or the swingset, Akihiko and Jett would sit together on a bench and play cards, or talk, but always something they could do by themselves. Jett spent an increasing amount of time at Akihiko's house. The two would wander off to the apple tree in Aki's backyard and sit on a branch for hours, just eating apples. His parents didn't miss him much, as his absence made it possible for them to dote on Heather more. The routine continued all the way up to Jett's tenth birthday. It was then that his life began to spiral downward.
A few weeks after he turned ten, Heather decided to take him for a walk. It was then that she apologized profusely for everything that had happened to him. She explained that she hadn't wanted the attention she had received, and only did half the things she did so that she wouldn't let their parents down. Jett begrudgingly accepted her apology. After all, he still wasn't happy...he had spent ten years of his life in utter misery. Heather, being twenty three, had had more than double the life Jett had, and it had been three times as better. How could he not feel some sense of resentment towards her? She then scooped him up into her arms and took him to her favorite spot. She confided in him, telling him that she would often walk along the train tracks and just think. It was her way of escaping the pressure their parents placed on her. As the two walked along the train tracks, they heard the unmistakeable sound of a train approaching. When they went to get off the tracks, Heather realized her foot had gotten wedged between them. Frantically, she called to Jett, who was now standing a few feet away. He had been too scared to help her. He had just stood there...watching. He saw everything...had felt the spray of her blood as the train collided with her body...had been unable to do anything about it. The only thing that would not leave him was the smell of apples...Heather had been wearing apple-scented perfume.
Jett was now left with the task of telling his parents. As he walked through the door, they immediately noticed his blood-caked face. Rather than ask him if he was alright, however, they merely asked where Heather was. Jett was rendered silent, terrified by the sights he had just seen. In response to his refusal to talk, his father raised his hand to the boy, bringing it down across his face. It had stung, he remembered, and hot tears filled his eyes. He retreated to his room for the next few days while his parents mourned the loss of their darling daughter. His only relief came in the form of Akihiko, who, once again delivered a rather sloppily-made cupcake to his friend's doorstep. It was the only thing in days that had brought a smile to Jett's tear-stained face. The boy consoled him the rest of the week, often bringing him to the apple tree, where they would just sit there, silently, for hours. Upon returning home, however, he was viciously beaten by his father, who had just purchased a whip for use on his son's back. His parents both blamed him for their daughter's death.
This continued each night for five years. Jett would spend the majority of the night at Akihiko's, and when he would return, he would receive a lashing. He was in high school by this point, and found himself ashamed to remove his shirt, fearing the scars he carried on his back would only cause him to be tormented even further. On the days he had gym, he made sure he wore a wife beater underneath his normal clothes to avoid revealing his back. Despite the embarrassment his father's hatred caused him, things were finally starting to look up for Jett. He was doing well in his classes, and he had, in his mind, the greatest friend the world could give him. He still blamed himself for his sister's death, and would cry himself to sleep most nights, but things were still better than they had been. That is, until the reports of a robber surfaced.
The robber situation really didn't worry Aki and Jett too much. After all, they really didn't have much worth taking, save Jett's parents' money. They would have been right, however, to fear. One day, Akihiko failed to show up at school. Jett had hoped Akihiko was sick, and dashed to his house straight from school to take care of him. What he saw shocked him. Police cars surrounded the building, and cops swarmed the area. Jett pushed his way through, though the police refused to let him in the building. Akihiko's mother called Jett over to her, where she took him into her arms and just cried. Jett found out that the robber had broken into Aki's house and threatened his mother. Fifteen year old Aki had stood up to the robber...and ended up getting killed for it. Jett's heart shattered into what felt like a million pieces...and to this day, is not whole. That night, he took his beating without a word, and, upon reaching his room, continued the assault on his body. His wrists have been sliced so many times that he should be dead...the fact that he's failed every time proves that he's destined for something more.
Personality: Sadistic and masochistic, Jett is not the type of person you'd want to be alone with. He has no problem with death, and enjoys seeing others in pain. The kid is most definitely not right in the head. He is prone to going crazy at times, though he certainly gives a fair amount of warning before it is going to happen. That is, if you know what to watch for. Either his left eye or the corner of his mouth will begin to twitch, and his hands will start to shake. He has a laugh that would strike fear into the hearts of many...if you can call it a laugh and not a cackle. However, this side of him is kept locked away. On the outside, he appears to be a normal person, and keeps up the charade quite well. When he is covering up his insanity, Jett is generally quiet and reserved, preferring to stand by himself rather than with others. He can be insulting, and is usually the first to make a jab at someone else. He verbalizes what others are too timid to. He doesn't really pose a threat to the world, as his crazy mind is always locked away, and even if it weren't, he isn't brave enough to actually harm anyone. In fact, he is quite a coward as well, and won't hesitate to run from a fight if it looks like he's going to lose. Though he acts tough, he's really quite weak. Jett is merely scary, not dangerous. He has a strange love for apples, and giving him the fruit is the only surefire way to calm him down. He fears two things: death, and birds.
Other info: He has a horribly creepy laugh. Think John Kassir's 'Crypteekper' laugh.

Spoiler:
The sun was beating down on Pacifidlog that day. The hustle and bustle of both tourists and locals alike hung in the air. Waves lapped against the docks, gently misting whoever happened to be standing near the water at the time. At this time of day, the docks were usually unoccupied. This day would have been no different, if not for one boy serenely sprawled out upon the wood, a red apple clutched tightly in his fist. Jett Donnovan brought his hand up to his chest. Rather than taking a bite from the fruit, he released it into the air, catching it as it spiraled down to him. Once again, the apple took an unwanted flight before finding itself safely nestled into Jett's palm. The boy shut his grey-black eyes, putting passers-by under the impression that he was perhaps sunbathing on the docks. One look at his skin would tell a different story, however. Jett was white as a sheet, the ebony of his hair in sharp contrast with the rest of his body. His clothes looked like those that would be worn to a formal occasion. Black dress pants ran down his legs, fading away as his shoes came into view. It couldn't be said whether or not he wore socks. His ankles were never visible.
Jett released a heavy sigh as he brought the apple to his lips and took a bite. He had impulsively taken a trip to Pacifidlog, stumbling out of the ship that had carried him across the sea mere hours ago. It was then that he had made a beeline for the dock, and it was there that he stayed. His reasons for the spontaneous travel plans would remain hidden. It wasn't like he had anyone to tell, anyway. Truthfully, his former best friend had always longed to travel to Pacifidlog, and, after his untimely death, Jett vowed to take the trip for both of them. A single tear rolled down his cheek, though it didn't stay there for long. He swiftly wiped it away. It wasn't the first tear he'd shed over Akihiko, not by a long shot. Once more, he tossed the apple upwards, catching it and taking his second bite. The sweet scent of the fruit brought tears to his eyes. Sitting up, he turned towards the water and flung the apple outwards. It sailed a ways away, finally landing with a plop in the middle of the sea, bobbing there for a minute before sinking to the bottom.
"Dammit, Akihiko," Jett muttered, bringing his knees to his chest and encircling them with his arms. With his left hand, he wiped his face, though the tears wouldn't stop flowing. "I'm sorry…" he whimpered, burying his face in his knees. He cried silently for a few minutes, chest heaving as his eyes pumped out small droplets of water. When he could cry no more, he stood, wiping his face with his sleeves. With that, he left his former place of rest, making his way up the rows of shops that lined the marketplace. Jett's eyes retained a light pink hue, a vestige of his brief incident moments ago. Tourists perused the shops' wares, squabbling over what souvenirs to bring home. The trifling arguments elicited a dramatic eye roll from Jett. There were bigger things to worry about than what to buy little Suzie for her birthday.
A light aroma wafted through the air, redolent of Jett's seventh birthday. Cupcakes, admittedly more beautiful than Akihiko's disheveled creation, lined the cases of a bakery. An elderly woman was standing behind the counter, attempting to coerce tourists into buying "the best sweets in Pacifidlog". Clearly, the food was made with no love, or people would buy them of their own accord. Jett's terminus was the Pokémon Center a few feet away. Ordinary trainers would have entered and kicked back, perhaps ordered some food while they waited for their Pokémon to recover, but not Jett. His Pokémon had been healed before his trip to Pacifidlog, and he hadn't participated in a battle since then. Rather than go in and be somewhere he didn't need to, he took a seat on the edge of the dock, across from the Center. The waves lightly lapped the toe of his shoes. Without thought of anything else, Jett stared out towards the horizon, eyes locked on the point where the water blended into the sky.

RP Sample: it is from another RP:):Max and his pokemon were walking towards Saffron.
"Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaur! This is soooooo boring!" His Ivysaur complained ready for some action.
Max looked down at his Ivysaur who did look bored. He looked over at his shoulder which Pikachu was sitting on. Pikachu had dozed off. He shook his shoulder a little to wake Pikachu up.
"Pika Piiiiiiii! Ahhhhhhh. What was that for?" Pikachu wondered almost falling off of Max's shoulder.
Max chuckled and looked overhead where Pidgeotto was flying making shade for him. Pidgeotto was looking everywhere around them incase she spotted something.
"Pidgeottoooooo! There is a big tree with a bunch of shade around it just upahead... and it has apples in it!" Pidgeotto said.
Max sighed. None of his pokemon looked happy. They all looked bored except for Pidgeotto who looked determined to get the juiciest apple in the tree. He noticed Pidgeotto sped up in flying. Max smiled knowing that Pidgeotto wanted to race him. He got his footing just right and then he dashed towards the tree.
"I'll beat you Pidgeotto!" He yelled running just barely infront of Pidgeotto.
"Pidgeottooo! Not if I can help it!" Pidgeotto cooed flying like there was no tomorrow.
"Saurrrrr???? What the heck Max?" Bulbusaur complained running as fast as he could towards Max.
Max almost reached the tree first but Pidgeotto sped up just in time. He noticed that Pikachu had struggled the whole time just to stay on his should. Max grinned apologizing to Pikachu. Ivysaur had just come up to them panting hard. Ivysaur then caught his breath and used one of his vines to grab a ripe apple. He split in half and shared it with Pikachu. Pidgeotto grabbed a juicy one and then ate it. She grabbed a few more and ate them all.
"Pidgeotto I have some pokefood for each of you guys." Max said digging in his bag for their food.
He had six food bowls incase he had six different types of pokemon with him. He spread three out and then put flying pokefood in one for Pidgeotto, electric type pokefood for Pikachu, and grass type pokefood for Ivysaur in the last one. He pulled out a PB+J sandwhich and pulled out a bag of chips. He ate it and then sat there for a few minutes to let the food settle in his stomach.
He looked up in the sky and saw a cloud formation that looked like his mom's favorite pokemon, a Blastoise. He wished that he could atleast have known his mom. He shed a few tears every time he thought of her. His dad had always told him what she looked like. Blue eyes just like his, the necklace he had was hers before, black hair like his, and the most wonderful smile ever. He thought about it more and wished he could have known her better so much considering he was only a year old when his mom died.
He got up and told Pidgeotto to fly above them again, Ivysaur to walk next to him, and Pikachu to either walk next to him or sit on his shoulder. They all nodded their heads. Pidgeotto flew up in the air and flew above them, Pikachu ran up the side of Max and then onto his shoulder, Ivysaur stood where he was. Max smiled and then he walked along the path.
An hour later and Max had almost reached Saffron City. He looked overhead and noticed a flock of Spearow flying overhead. He flinched and then noticed them flying away. He rubbed the scar on his right arm and shuddered thinking about the day he got that scar. He then arrived to the enterence to Saffron City.
He walked up to a Tower looking thing and thought it looked creepy. He tried opening it anyway but it was locked. He shrugged and saw two Team Rocket members walking up the street towards them. He recognized one man. The man was someone who had battled Brock at the Pewter City Gym right before him. He gulped remembering how good that dude was. He covered his eyes with his hat seeing if the guys wouldn't recognize him then. It worked the Team Rocket members only told him that he needed to stay away from that tower.
He sighed with relief when they turned around a corner. He faced the way that they had come and continued to go that way. He then stopped at a young traveler who looked as though his ankle was hurting him.
"Are you ok?" Max asked.
"Yeah except I twisted my ankle a few minutes ago." The traveler said.
"Were are you going?" Max asked.
"I'm going to the pokemon center." The traveler said.
"Me too. I'll help you get there." Max said.
Max put his arm under the traveler's armpit and helped him walk. They came to the pokemon center.
"Thank you so very much my friend. I never caught your name...What is it?" The traveler asked.
"You're welcome and my name is Max. Your's?" Max asked.
"My name is Jerome. It's very nice to meet you Max." Jerome said.
"Same here Jerome." Max said helping him inside.
They went their separate ways when he went up to his room after he got a key, and Max went to heal his pokemon. Nurse Joy came out with them all and gave him his pokemon. He thanked her and walked outside.
"Everbody...Come on out!" Max said throwing the pokeballs into the air.
"Sauuuuuurrr Woohoo I thought I'd never get out of there!" Ivysaur yelled.
"Pidgeottoooo Man I'm ready to get us another badge!" Pidgeotto said flying around in circles over his head.
"Pi Pikachuuuuuu Ahhhh Team Rocket is coming!!!" Pikachu yelled running up Max's arm.
Max looked behind him and it was the same person from before.
"Hey kid get over here right now!" The grunt yelled.
Max did the exact oposite. He dashed towards the enterance to the next route. The grunt was fast though. The grunt sped up and grabbed Max.
"Let me go!!!!" Max said kicking the grunt.
"No way kid!" The grunt said.
Max got furious. He saw a spot where the grunt's jacket wasn't covering his whole arm and then he bit it as hard as he could.
"Ahhhhh" The grunt yelled dropping Max.
Max dashed out of Saffron City onto the next Route. He looked back and noticed the grunt wasn't chasing him anymore. He sighed with relief knowing that that was a close one. His pokemon were right above him because Pidgeotto had flew them over head when they spotted the grunt.
Pidgeotto landed and Max asked her if she could fly him to Celadon from here on out. Pidgeotto noded and Max called his other pokemon to their pokeballs and then hopped on Pidgeotto's back. The air felt so good on his face that he fell asleep. Only when Pidgeotto coed did he wake up. They had arrived to Celadon City!

Attention!: i am only accepting ONE more Team Crisis member! So after Pikalover finishes his SU then only one more TC member will be accepted!
EDIT: Your new sign-up was still lacking, Pikalover. Look at the accepted sign-ups, then compare them to yours. Also, your going to come up with something else in your history. I can't have an unmentioned character be second in command to a group that i will be controlling. So find some other way for him to be born into Team Crisis. Or another way for him to have joined Team Crisis entirely. And all you added into personality was hobbies. Not only does that not fit, that is still under the limit for Personality.
Name: Cailey Owens
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Trainer type: Regular Trainer
Appearance: Cailey is surprisingly tall for a twelve year old, and her frame is still rather thin, waiting for the joys of puberty. Her hair is shoulder length, dead straight and platinum blonde, and frames her pretty face nicely. Her rather large eyes are a bright, dark blue, the colour bordering on electric blue. Her skin is slightly tanned, growing darker in the warmer months obviously, losing its colour slowly over winter.
Cailey does not care much about her appearance, and is often seen with smudges from dirt or dust on her face, she almost always wears yellow, as it is her favourite colour and type of Pokemon. Her outfit usually involves a pair of plain, worn denim jeans, a white t-shirt and a yellow hooded jacket, paired with dirty trainers. She rarely brushes her hair, and miraculously it maintains its silkiness and style. She carries her possessions in a black messenger bag with a white Pokeball on the front. She has a gory looking burn on her right upper arm, just pass her elbow, which she likes to keep covered at all times.
History: Cailey was born in Canalave City of the Sinnon Region to her parents Mary and Jason. Mary and Jason were very young when Cailey was born, not even graduates of high school. Their relationship and Cailey's birth were frowned upon by the town citizens, so badly that the couple decided to move to Eterna City were it was much more peaceful.
When they moved there Jason struggled to find a job, making the task of raising an infant seemingly impossible. Mary had suffered from mental illnesses and depression since she was a teenager and when the pressure of her relationship and her role as a mother grew to be too difficult, she left town without a note and was never heard from again.
Distraught, Jason did a remarkable job of raising Cailey, supporting her through her primary education. When she was nine she told her father that Shinx was her favourite Pokemon, and asked her father if for her birthday she could have a Shinx plushie. Jason, however, decided to do one better than the toy, and went out to catch Cailey a Shinx.
Cailey was of course delighted and spent every waking moment with her beloved Pokemon.
When Cailey turned ten, Jason remarried. His wife, Anna, was a kind and beautiful woman who Cailey loved very much. Jason decided that he wanted to remove himself from all the memories of Mary by moving his family to the Kanto Region. They settled down happily in Celadon City and Cailey continued to battle her Shinx for fun, the pair becoming stronger and stronger.
One day her father told her about the rumour about Pokemon Gym's and the need of Gym Leaders, Cailey instantly knew she wanted a gym of her own, specialising in her favourite type, electric Pokemon
Personality: Cailey has a very feisty, determined personality. She is impulsive and makes decisions quickly, whether they are good or bad, and carries them out until the end, regardless of the consequences. In fact, Cailey doesn't regard consequences often at all, which would make you think this would lead her to all kinds of trouble, but you'd be wrong. Cailey has a knack to sail triumphantly through life, despite her rocky childhood. She rarely fails, and carries this fact arrogantly on her shoulders.
Her personality mimics that of her favourite type of Pokemon, often described as electrifying and dynamic. She is passionate and charismatic, and her words and actions enthral people, making fast admirers. Cailey could sell ice to an Eskimo, and she knows this. But she is not manipulative. She uses her smooth talking ways to help people out, rather than help herself.
Other info: Cailey dislikes fire Pokemon after receiving a traumatic burn from a Chimchar belonging to a classmate in Eterna City.
Pokemon Type: Electric
Starter Pokemon: Shinx

Allison held her breath as she watched the Pokeball continue to twitch and wriggle, until it finally stopped, declaring her the owner of the Rattata.
"Yes!" Allison exclaimed, racing towards her new Pokemon's Pokeball and seizing it triumphantly. She then stopped, and composed herself, remembering she was not alone in the clearing.
"Umm, good work Charmander," she addressed her first Pokemon, turning to look at him "Now lets go and find a battle"
Allison found a trainer standing by himself, after winning his second battle of the day. She approached him with her shoulders back and her chin up, making herself look as tall as possible. The trainer was of average height, and at least a head shorter then Allison, he looked to be about fourteen and had light blonde hair, which he wore under a grey beanie.
"You and me, battle now," Allison demanded, looking down at him from her great height.
The boy looked her up and down appraisingly, a smirk stretched across his tan face.
"Sure, as long as the battle is followed by a date with you and me," he replied, grinning.
"Ew, no," Allison wrinkled her freckled nose in disgust "You're what, like eleven?"
"Fifteen," the trainer answered with a wink "So how about it babe?"
"How about you just battle me before my fist connects with your face," she spat, beginning to feel very annoyed.
"Ooh feisty," he grinned, "A battle it is" the trainer said reaching for a Pokeball in his pocket.
"Go Spinarak," he called releasing the green, tiny spider Pokemon. Allison reached for her Pokedex, curious about the trainer's bug Pokemon.
'Spinarak- the string spit Pokemon. It sets a trap by spinning a web with thin but strong silk. It waits motionlessly for prey to arrive'
"Huh. A bug Pokemon, guess I'll use you Charmander," Allison said, gesturing to the orange Pokemon at her side.
Charmander immediately jumped forward, eager to please his trainer.
"Spinarak, use string shot!" the blonde trainer demanded, rolling the sleeves of his red shirt up his arms.
The spider Pokemon shot a white web out of its mouth, towards Allison's Charmander
"Quick, Charmander! Dodge it!" Allison instructed, and Charmander leapt out of the attacks way "Good! Now use scratch"
Charmander charged forward and attacked the Spinarak with its formidable claws, weakening its opponent.
"Spinarak, jump away and use your poison sting," the boy called to his Pokemon.
The green spider Pokemon did as instructed and launched a poison sting from its fangs which connected with Charmander's face.
"Char-mander char!" the Pokemon cried out in pain, rubbing its face with its clawed hands in pain.
"It's okay Charmander! Use growl and then scratch the Spinarak one last time!" Allison called, concern for her Pokemon building up in her chest.
The Charmander nodded and growled, intimidating his opponent before leaping onto it scratching the Spinarak fiercely until it fainted.
"Return Spinarak," the blonde trainer called, still smiling "You win"
Allison smiled a small smile and turned to her Charmander
"Not bad for a lizard," she praised as it looked up at her adoringly. "I think I'll call you Izzy from now on," Allison decided smiling at her Pokemon.
Her opponent approached her, hand forward for Allison to shake.
"Great battle," he praised "But I expected so from such a pretty girl," he said with a wink.
Allison rolled her eyes, she was used to getting hit on, even from boys younger than her.
"Thanks," she said dryly and she turned to walk away when he held out a piece of paper with his name, Billy, and phone number on it.
"Call me," Billy winked, before turning on his heel and looking for another battle.
Allison shrugged and shoved the paper into her bag, she would never call him and Billy probably knew that. Most of the boys who gave her their numbers did.
Allison made her way back onto the trail of Route 101 and began to amble along it, feeling tired and hungry.

Also, If you are going to be controlling the pokemon we catch, do we get a say in what we encounter, or is it all decided by you? And 12 seems a bit young for a person to be running a gym... I always imagine leaders in their teens and above. But whatever, ill make it work.
