A hypothetical situation about languages...?

I'd choose French or Mandarin :3 They'd both be pretty helpful to me, I think.

Spanish. It's a practical language to know if you're living in the states, especially in the southwest.

For myself, I would love to be fluent in Spanish, then tackle with Japanese because both of the languages are awesome especially since I watch plenty of Animes, so it would be easier for me to understand. xD And as for Spanish, I love the way it sounds and I actually listen to Spanish songs. Also, I'd like to learn Hebrew since it's quite similar to Arabic which I am quite fluent in it.

Well the other day in History we learned that French is second in countries that list it as their official language, English being first. The way I see it I already know English so by learning French I could travel to a lot of other countries with ease. I've also always thought it would be kind of cool to learn Latin even though I wouldn't be able to use it too much. If I had a close friend who could learn it instantly with me at the same time then I'd go with Latin. I think it would be fun to speak a language with someone that no one else could understand.

Well, since I've already mastered the English language, because.. well, it's my primary language, and since I'd say I know enough French to get by, I'd go with Italian, because then I would totally impress the family.

I'd learn Arabic. It's easily the best language in the world in my opinion. The way it's written, the way it's spoken, pretty much everything about it is amazing. Moreover, most of my relatives speak Arabic or English (or both) so learning Arabic would be really helpful for me.

Japanese comes second, but by far off, since I wouldn't ever use Japanese in a real world environment. I only watch anime (which are subtitled), so I don't have any real practical use for Japanese. I want to learn it because of its uniqueness compared with other languages. I also want to learn Japanese because I want to visit it in the near future, and it wouldn't be fun not knowing my way around. But I could learn Japanese easier than I could learn Arabic, which is why Japanese comes second.
