Through out the whole anime. Where do these tables and heaps of food come when they stop to feed the Pokémon and themselves. All they have is a backpack each, it's always confused me.

Hey yeah!! But I'm not really surprised, this is a cartoon ya know. Cartoons can do anything. :D

It's often implied that Brock goes out to shop for supplies - and there's a few episodes that show it. And his bag is actually pretty big, so holding a pot and pan and food supplies isn't really out of the question.

The tables is another thing though - perhaps they're collapsible?

In the middle of the wilderness. Miles away from civilization.

I just recently fired up some older episodes. And I've been wondering that myself. So I did some cartoon research. And I think I've finally discovered the secret.

Brock has Simon Belmont's backpack. There can be no other explanation. That thing holds literally infinite amounts of miscellaneous items, so a table or two wouldn't be too hard for that thing to carry.

Brock is really Mary Poppins. She pulls out tables and chairs from her magic backpack of doom without distorting reality, while hiding her true identity. It's quite impressive, actually.

The large supplies is just a foil in the anime. The show is about Pokemon, so where supplies comes from isn't important.

I've always thought that Brock stocked up on supplies when they arrived at a town which is what's happened in a few episodes recently. I'm guessing they somehow managed to squeeze everything into three three backpacks as well.

The main question that always puzzles me, and probably because they isn't an answer to, is how do they pay for all their supplies? I mean they're all kids and none of them have a source of income.

Brock is NOT Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins sings pedo songs while Brock fails at life.

So the tables are either collapsible... or Brock is Mary Poppins.

Well if you can fit big, fat Pokeymens into a small ball, surely you can fit a table into a backpack. :P

Yeah, they do buy supplies during episodes generally, I would think.
Don't they sometimes just eat on wooden picnic tables or on a picnic cloth spread out on the ground?

    *Ball capsules?*

You know, in DP 96, Happiny actually turned the bag around, dangled all his stuff out, and no table or pot. Just a few cans of food.

(Or maybe they didn't show all the contents in the bag, because Brock stopped Happiny in the middle.)
Forget it. I saw the episode again. Happinny DID pour out all the contents.

Maybe they rented a pot nearby? According to a post here, shops and houses in the middle of nowhere are possible, so maybe they just borrowed them.

Well, the food part is quite obvious.

All the junk is with Ash (And maybe food for his own pokermuns), and I dunno bout Dawn or May. I saw Misty's pack though...

Maybe they only stop to eat at parks. Sometimes if they're in a landscape or by the sea there are tables and chairs so it's possible that those are community areas.
