How feasible would a Pokemon like this be in competitive battling? This time I have split it into two possibilities:

    1. Mega Groudon:

    *Ground/Fire Type
    *Higher Defense
    *Higher Attack
    *Higher Special Attack
*Abilities: Water Absorb or Storm Drain

    2. A completely new Pokemon:

    *A fully-evolved Ground/Fire Type
    *High Defense.
    *Good Speed
    *Decent Attack
*Moves: Magnet Rise, Flare Blitz, Earthquake, Mean Look, etc.
*Abilities: Water Absorb, Storm Drain, Filter
*Hold Item: Shuca Berry, Assault Vest

When you take away a major weakness with Water Absorb/Storm Drain, I would think the stats would need to be lower than normal to balance things out. But that said, it's kinda hard to judge how viable Pokemon are without all their stats, moves, etc. I haven't used Groudon, but I'm pretty sure it appreciates its current ability in Drought, though I guess that could work it you don't plan to continuously bring up the sun. Like I said, can't really judge the second one based on the given info, although the only weakness being ground, a mainly physical attacking type, is certainly a good advantage when you have good Defense.

From the looks of things, they would both be okay in Ubers; they've got great stats, and by having something they are four-times effective against turned to an immunity makes them even stronger. If you'd like either of them to be usable in OU, though, I'd have to agree with Flushed on that; they would need more balancing. d:
