    I was poking around in the UserCP and I noticed the whole public usergroup thing and thought...Well this function might be handy for supporters...if the admins would set it up, we could easily switch our primary usergroup through that, and toggle our supporter username color/bar on and off. Now I know this can easilly be achieved by PMing an admin and all, but eh. I thought I'd suggest it and see if anyone think it's a good idea.

    If not, then eh. that's fine. it's perfectly simple enough to ask an admin to make the switch. (We could even make a thread in here for that, and have rules about it like the name change thread)

    Why would we want to constantly do it though?

    Supporters have the username/userbar for a reason.... some could continually alternate it and confuse everyone else, otherwise nobody will be able to differentiate supporters and normal members.

    Sometimes I want my username to be normal but have the bar, but I'm so ADD about it that I would get tired of it. And I cbf to pm anyone about it. I think it's a pretty good idea. :3

    I'd do that fo' sho'.

    It's a neat idea, Archer. :3

    @Nica; Why wouldn't we?

    Well this speeds things up but the name group is supposed to be a privilege however I have to admit I sometimes wish I could take away the italic in my username and then put it back when I want it again but that is not an option that we can change is it?

    One of the main reasons I didn't donate was I didn't want an italic user name, giving the option to switch between normal username and supporter username would be quite cool.

    If this can be done, it would also seem to make for a "secure" way of providing a set of a few different username colours to pick from. (*The colours offered in that poll or something.) Add a number of "custom colour usergroups" only accessible to Supporters.
