    So i guess Ash and Dawn are gonna make a trade. I was thinking something along those lines, but i think it'll be really weird that Aipom and Buizel will still always be around their original trainers, i'd think it'd be oquard(sorry for the spelling). What do you think on the Buizel Aipom trade?

    Trading is just a cop-out for the writers to use. Buizel loves to battle, but instead of having Dawn take the time to train it to be better suited for Contests, she's just going to trade it to Ash. It's the same thing with Aipom: Instead of Ash taking the time to help his Pokemon get used to battles, he's just going to dump her off on another trainer.

    It's just more interesting to see two mismatched pairs try to work it out. I mean, the show will be more interesting then, as Dawn has to figure out Buizel, and Ash has to deal with Aipom.

    Besides, Aipom loves Ash to itty-bitty pieces. It'll be hard for her to leave him. Yes, she'll still see him while Ash is traveling with Dawn, but if Dawn and Ash part ways, what'll Aipom do then? We're talking about a Pokemon that smuggled itself onto a ship to follow Ash.

    I'm hoping the trade isn't permanent.
     
    It's the same here really; I hope that the trade (if it happens) won't be permanent. Despite all the foreshadowing from earlier episodes, I'm sure Ash and Dawn can work it out in the end. But then there's that Zoey... D=

    There're people who argue that Buizel has been losing every battle that it's been ever since its capture and that if it gets traded to Ash, it'll definitely start winning more battles.

    Same thing with Aipom. She hasn't been regularly featured (though she's been making some appearances, but no major ones) ever since her Gym victory over Gardenia's Roserade in DP037 ("A Grass Menagerie") and would definitely feature more under Dawn, who has been taking part in more Contests than Ash does Gyms.

    All in all, I hope the trade doesn't happen (or is permanent, if it does happen), but I guess that whatever the outcome, it's time to stop complaining/whining and just move on. Besides, this episode might just rid all speculation once and for all.
     
    ugh not this topic angain.... anyway its probably going to be an extended version of the ss anne episode, when i mean extended i mean they won't trade then trade back in the same episode.. it will porably take place over afew episodes.....

    I agree with all of you, i hope the trade isn't permanent. Aipom is way attatched to Ash, but is much more suitable for Dawn. I'm kinda thinking that they may just swap when they need them, like Dawn just uses Aipom in big contest battles and Ash uses buizel when he's needed, i don't think it'll be permanent, I would just hate to see two main characters trade.

    I guess I don't really mind, since it does seem like something that would happen, plus it makes sense.
    However, I found the whole Dawn/Buizel thing amusing to watch, and it won't be that amusing seeing Buizel with Ash,
    because they match too well. D:

    Dawn has stated she'd never borrow a Pokémon for a Contest before. I think it was in the episode where Jessie won an unofficial contest. I'm not quite sure now though, because I haven't seen that for awhile.
     
    oh, really? That does sound like something i've heard her say too. I havn't any if the trade would stay permanent or not, but if they are going to trade, it's going to be in the next jap episode
     
    Trade happened. I'm not gonna whine and rant about it though. I'm not sure if it's permanent or not, but according to a member at Serebii I got the info from, the trade wasn't really permanent. It's sort of a tryout at the moment. I believe they might trade back after the Grand Festival and Sinnoh Championships.

    I'm not all that sure. The only thing that I'm sure of is that the trade happened.

    OMG so its really true.
    I'm not 100% sure though because Ash wouldn't just trade one of his pokemon like that. Plus he doesn't look to happy in that pic.
    But I do think Ash looks much better with Buziel than Dawn did.
     
    Well now all we need to know now is what Ash's last pokemon will be. I mean like it isn't terrible that Ash got Buizel.
     
    i've posted another pic, and u can see that at least aipom is happy because of its position on Dawn.

    Well atleast Aipom can shine in contests like she should be and Buizel can help Ash win in gyms.

    i too hope it isn't permenant,and it will be awkward.
    i mean you get to see your original trainer everyday,but with another pokemon instead of you.Or you see your pokemon happy with your one of your best friends.

    The trade seems to be permanent. Personally, I was hoping that Buizel stayed with Hikari and Aipom with Ash, guess the writers has other ideas.

    This means we'll probably never see the Aqua Jet + Icebeam combo of Buizel and Mimirol... I was curious to see how that would look like in actual battle.
