    Earlier today I was watching a playthrough of platinum on youtube, and I thought~ What happened to cyrus?

    He was trapped in the distortion world, but nothing was mentioned about him after that story arc. What if he truly did become a god, and formed a new world to roam, he always said something about that.

    My theory is that the distortion world became a paradise, it flourished with cyrus overlooking. Sun and Moon will be set in this, with an all new cast of pokémon, similar to Black and White. After the main storyline, The part of the distortion world that Giratina still roams will become accesible, and a story arc similar to the delta episode will begin, eventually ending with the capture of giratina, and a portal being opened. A portal to the Sendoff Spring in Sinnoh. Allowing that link to previous games, as the catch lists for areas would be updated.

    Don't believe me? Think about this.
    Cyrus=The sun
    Cynthia=The moon.

    With all of this talk of simplification that Nintendo has mentioned, I highly doubt that this will be the case for Sun/Moon. It would just confuse anyone who hasn't played the fourth gen games in my opinion. However, I do really like your concept and would like to see it happen in say, A Sinnoh remake. Seeing something like that in the post-game would be really cool.

    Like Boglor said, I don't see something like this happening given Game Freak are taking a "return to simplicity" approach with these games, so I would expect the plot to not be something over-complicated.

    That sounds really cool, although I'm pretty sure they will head towards including Kalos, rather than Sinnoh at this point. Sinnoh could use its own remakes (as much as I hate the idea...) and a universe would be really restricting. Despite being cool, Distortion World doesn't seem like the best setting though, basing an entire region around it would destroy what we know of Pokemon in regards to how canon things work in-game (sorry if that doesn't make sense but it's the best way I can explain it currently). Maybe a possibility for the third version if anything (and a small Distortion World alternate universe and then moving into the region). Maybe.
