America is full of rural towns of all kinds. Some are made of farmers, some of soldiers, some of several classes, but they all have a few things in common. Their inhabitants are free to come and go as they like. And, nightmares are just that. Insubstantial, unreal creations that can never hurt you. All, that is, except one. This town is called Haggerstown. Within this place is a great evil, a deep malevolence that permeates the town. No living thing can escape. Even after death, the spirits of the departed are bound to that place for all eternity, wandering the town and the places of their demises, searching in vain for a way out.

Several children of Haggerstown have made a daring announcement; they are going to escape Haggerstown and the evil within it. Against the advice, warnings, and direct orders from their parents and the other adults of village, they try an attempt at freedom. There are no ways to get out that the people know of, so they go to a place that no one knows much about. They venture to the edge of the town to speak to an old hermit who lives there.

The hermit has long been an outcast by the Townsfolk, mistrusted, yet feared. Unknown to the children and the rest of the town, the hermit is an old Hunter. One of the few forces that seek to destroy evils such as those that dwell in Haggerstown. Sadly, when the hunter arrived in Haggerstown he was far too old and just one person, far too few to help the people that lived there. Perhaps that is one of the reasons he was treated as an outcast.

However, if the old man can teach these children his skills, perhaps they can rid Haggerstown of the evil it has been infested with for so long. He knows it won't be easy, but at least there's a chance. And the way things are now, a chance is greater by far, than nothing at all. Plus it's the only way the children will ever be able to escape from Haggerstown, so they're more than willing to try.

    Mine
    Name: Erana Kin
    Age: 15
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Era is tall for her age, standing at five ft. seven in. with fair skin and sharp blue eyes. Her long dirty-blonde hair is kept out of her face by a brown bandana tied around her head. Her outfit consists of dusty looking jeans with an embroidered belt and a green t-shirt with wings on the back over a long-sleeved white one. Around her neck is a thin black cord with a bird shaped pendant hanging from it.
Personality: Era is a stubborn person who often ignores the advice of others. She can sometimes act pretty rashly and it's gotten her into trouble many times before. She's smart and she knows it. She loves to have fun and is only serious when she absolutely has to be. She doesn't usually get angry, or at least she doesn't appear to, and only snaps on rare occasions, usually when she is very stressed. She's pretty sceptical, or will appear to be at least, even if she believes every word of what's being said. It's just part of her defiant nature.
History: Erana grew up as the daughter of a farmer and a doctor. She never really thought much about being trapped in Haggerstown until she was twelve. That's when she started to see the complications her life in the town had and she longed to leave it. Since the age of four she had been best friends with Kyraa and Robert, two kids who lived in the village as well. She often got into trouble with her parents because she rarely listened to what they said. When she and her friends decided to leave the village she ignored her parents' warnings along with those of all the other adults who tried to stop them.

    Name: Kyraa Kiyomo
    Age: 14
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Kyraa has long raven black her and dark blue eyes. Her body is average size, she wasnt skinny nor even fat. Being only 14, her figure was somewhat underdeveloped, but still there, enough to catch people's eyes. She is about five feet and six inches. Her hair was always in her face. Kyraa wore a black long sleeve turtle neck and a pair of Black capri pants that had more zippers and pockets than what she needed. Kyraa wore black skateboard shoes as well.
Personality: Kyraa is a very outgoing young girl. She loves to have fun with her best friends and is a very good helper. Kyraa has learned to be brave. Especially with the strange things that happen in Haggerstown. Kyraa had always imagine what was outside of Haggerstown. She wanted to know what it was like living some plave else. Kyraa is a daydreamer when it comes to thinking about things outside of her town. Kyraa will do anything for her friends and make sure they are okay. She isn't much of a talker around strangers and will only talk to her dad, Robert, and Era.
History: Kyraa has lived in Haggerstown all her life and she has never been able to leave. She has been best friends with Robert and Era since she was three and she trusts them with her life. Kyraa is only child and lives with her dad. She is often thought of being a daddy's girl. Once in a while she sees her mom roam the halls of her house but never talks to her. When Kyraa was only a year old, she discovered that her town was full of ghosts and she hadnt understood why until she turned three when she met Robert and Era. Even then only they knew a little but about it. As time had passed, they started to understand things more. Kyraa's Anti-Socialness comes from her mom after she had passed away. She has always remained quiet about things except when she tells her friends.

    Name: Robert Price

    Age: 16

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Robert has somewhat short dark brown hair, usually in a messy tangle that results in interesting looking styles at time. He's unusually large for his age, tall and broad at 6' even, and usually dresses in a long black leather trenchcoat that was once his father's. He keeps to simple shoes, T shirts, and jeans underneath that, in a variety of colors.

Personality: Robert doesn't have much of a eprsonality around most people, being taken as a black sheep by most. He's happy to continue that false image, living on his own. However, he's quite open with his feelings with the two people who actually bothered to befriend him.

History: Robert spent most of his time alone, but spent the last six years of his life truly alone. He grew up raised in a quiet life like most children of the town until age ten. That was when his father went insane, attacking his mother, and then killing himself while robert was on a walk. MAny people tried to take him in, but he just kept running away when forced, until they finally gave up, letting him keep his parents house...

Personality: Kyle is lonely, and avoids talking to lots of people. He usually wanders around without anyone to talk to. He is lawyas thinking about his surroundings, and never knowing what to do. Kyle is often confused about everything going on, and when he is confused he usually spends his tiem trying to find out the answer to "why?". Kyle is emotional, but tries his best to always hold it in. He rarely shows anger, but it can be VERY easy to make him alugh or even smile. Kyle often has pains around his body, he is not sure why, but he assumes it is because he isn't very active and doesn't eat very healthily (spelling?). He usually on seems naturally happy when he is playing basketball (and even then he usually doesn't look happy) or when he's playing a game he really enjoys.

History: Living in Haggerstown, Kyle has been used to lviing with ghosts everywhere he goes. When younger, he had a frightining experience when he had woken up at 4:11AM and he heard something whipser "Wam Wame Name" at the end of his bed. Upon hearing this, he had curled up in a ball, sicne his feet suddnely felt like they were freezing. That day, he talked to his parents, and he had understood about the ghosts, adn hwo no one was able to leave the town. He had grown up playing games, and learning strategies about things. He always enjoyed playing any form of online RPG games (Like Diablo2, Runescape), or even strategy games (like Reversi, minesweeper etc;). Playing these games, he finds that his only true friends are the ones who treat him nicely over the internet. When he talked to them, they wanted to get together, but he told them he lived in a cursed town and couldn't leave. So since that day, Kyle ahs secretly been planing an escape. Unfortunately, all fo his plans have failed, adn so he has gone to the Hermit living at the edge of town.

K i hope this is good enough, adn if you guys were wondering, yes everything i said is absed on what i acutally experienced in real life, including that weird "ghost at the end of my bed" story. Kidna creeped em out, espeically sicne i was young. Lol, well i hope you accpet this! :D

Ok, I will need to discuss it with the other two but I'd say that with your current profile you can't join. You really need to work on spelling and your history needs some major edits. It wasn't mentioned in the first post because we thought it'd be kind of obvious, but you can't have a computer with internet access. Kind of defeats the purpose of being trapped in the town, doesn't it?

We need people that have good grammar and never mispell ten-20 words or more. =/ We're not rejecting you...its just we dont think you're ready for an RP that's for advanced RPers.

Alana, Shiney: How about we just start the RP and maybe eventaully more people will join in? We might as well get to some point. =< Let's talk more about it MSN rather than the discussing what we should do here.

Also...to make it easier...please send us your forms via PM...if you get accepted then you can post it here. It keeps the RP from being flooded with accepted and non-accepted posts.

OOC: Due to much torture between two teenage girls, and a splitting headache, I've decided to start the RP.

I sighed as I glanced over the computer parts in front of me. Everyone seemed to pity me for trying to get the scraps to function, but I didn't care. I was confident that if I could find SOME way to get the PC operating, that I could contact the outside, somehow. But the components were all older than I was, and seemed determined to remain useless. "Ugh, I REALLY wish I still had some asprin left..." I said, clenching my hands over my eyes. I tended to get these headaches more and more often when I was stressed... I was a bit worried about them, but if I took the time to lie down and let them pass, it never took too long...

    OOC: *crawls back into Kitty-carrier*

I had finished my final paragraph in my diary. My mom always told me I should write down my thoughts because it helps release alot of stress and anger. I still wish my mom was around like she used to be.

My mom had passed away when I was only 6; she was more than just my mom, she was my best friend. Ever since she died, I havent talked to anyone but my two best friends Robert and Erana...oh and dont forget my dad.

I see my mom everyday as she roams my hous in her ghostly like form. She protects me from any harm and her presence makes me feel safe. My mom doesnt talk to me as much as she used to...in fact she doesnt talk at all.

I went into the kitchen to get a snack, which was a bag of potato chips.

"Ky, I wish you wouldnt wear so much black clothing," my dad scolded me.

"Why? it isnt hurting anything," I told him, "I'm going over to Robert's house,"

    "Ok,"

Robert only lived a few blocks from my house so it was a short walk. I climbed the steps and knocked on his door.

Erana slipped quietly past the kitchen where her mother and father were talking. Her mother's head turned slightly but she didn't turn round. She placed her hand on the door and slowly turned the knob then, just as slowly, eased the door open. Once she was outside she pushed the door shut without a sound and skipped off across the fields. Her parents were used to her sneaking off and she doubted she had managed to get out without her mother's freakish hearing picking up on her escape, but it was always fun to pretend she was sneaking out without permission.

Once she had crossed the field and entered the main part of town, she turned and began to walk towards the row of houses that included her friend Robert's. She knew that if her parents needed her they would check either his house or her other best friend's, Kyraa.

I noticed my best friend Era sneaking around, She must have snuck out again. I thought.

I waited for Robert to answer is door but I had gotten the idea that maybe he didnt hear the knock since sometimes he doesnt.

I looked over at Era, "Era, over here!" I called to her.

This little ghostly figure of a girl tugged on my black pant leg, "Can you help me find my mommy?"

As shy as I was, I didnt say a word. I hated talking to strangers. Even if they were ghosts.

I sighed as I made my way to the door, shielding my eyes against the faint sunlight, wining slightly with the pain in my head. "Ohhh, hey there." I said, slightly out of it as I noticed Kyraa. I stepped aside, letting her through, and looked up, noticing Erana as well. "You too!" I called out to her, gesturing her to come closer.

Era grinned at Kyraa as she approached then turned her attention to Robert as he opened the door. A glance told her he was either in a bad mood or having a headache. Whichever it is she decided to be nice to him so as not to annoy him. She picked up her pace and entered the house. Inside she saw the pieces of an old computer lying on the floor. Working on it again, she thought, bending down to examine an interesting looking piece. "How long are you going to work on this thing, Robert? Even if you got it fixed, how would you get a signal?"

"Are you still working on connecting to the outdoors?" I asked him, sighing. "You've tried so many times and you know you cant do it." I told him but I didnt want to sound like he should give up.

"My dad yelled at me for my attire again," I told them, "I dont understand my dad at all. Mom wouldnt care how I dressed as long as I didnt become some druggie, you know?" I replied.

I looked at all of the jumk that Robert had everywhere, "You need to keep your place tidy, you'll find stuff better!" I smiled.

I shrugged slightly, closing the door gently behind thm. "As long as I can find food, and my bed, I'm fine." I said, staring over at the junk pile. "Hey, I've got to try. Besides, I shou;ld get a medal if I actually do make that crap work." I said slowly, walking over and scooting a large pile out of the way. "So, what brings you lovely ladies here?"

"Nothing really, I had to get out of the house for once. My dad always nags me about everything. It was so much better when mom was around you know? Even now when she is around she just lurks the house She wont talk to us or nothing." I explained.

"So...is this all you've been doing Robert? I mean I wish you would take a break! I dont want you being at it all night like usaul," I told him.

I guess you could say that I worried too much about my best friend Robert.

Erana shrugged. "I just felt like getting out for a while. I like the farm but I don't plan to take it up as a profession. Dad's gonna be unhappy with me of course, but he'll learn to deal with it." She glanced around at the pile of computer bits once more then stood up and stretched her arms. "Ya know, we need to do something. Wanna catch a movie or something? You could use the break from this computer, Robert. And it'd be fun. There's probably something good playing."

"Yeah, I agree!" I took his hand hoping he would tag along. "You need to get out more," I replied.

I needed to get Robert out of the house for a while and I was sure that Era wanted to do the same. I had never seen him actaully outdoors once.

"We're going to go see a movie," I replied to him.

I had no idea what movie we were going to actaully see, "Um...Era..? What movie ARE we going to see? Any idea?" I asked her.

    OOC: I hope that better. =< If not I'll edit it later...I ish tired. ;o;
