A Pokemon religion?

Or for their dead. They probobly all have Drifloon. Since they say that Drifloon is a combonation of spirits.

i just thought it was a normal church where they worship a real life religion probably Christianity

Christianty and Pokemon probobly don't mix. Some Christains hate Pokemon, so why would Nintendo put Chrisianity in their games? It's more likily worshipping Pokemon or paying respect to those who have pasted.

remember that a lot of serious christians shun pokemon saying that it promotes evolution and stuff like that so its highely unlikely also i doubt they would put a real religion in the games it could cause uproar in all the religious comunities and even get nintendo attacked be extreamists

if arceus is the so called "God of Pokemon" then how is nintendo gunna make a game with a legendary pokemon tht isnt better than arceus?

how do u even worship a pokemon, im guessin u have to offer pokemon sacerfices or pokeballs with ppl in side

i dont liek how you say "serious christians"...i am VERY religious and am a "serious chrstian" and i dont think this crap. so ya, dont make groups.

anyways, i think that chruch is there to worship pokemon as a whole.

That's Spiritomb, and it's 108 souls. :)

Arceus is bisexual he doesn't have a gender.
The term you're looking for is Asexual XD;

And, Arceus had the voice he chose, because he doesn't normally speak. :[

Anyway, with the building, it's an Unknown Building, or as I said in other languages it's like the Foreign Culture Building. XD;
Also, they honor lost souls down the 'route' [as it may be] in the Lost Tower. :D

But, that doesn't mean in general there hasn't been religion in general.
Hmm, I'm debating moving this to Pokemon General, or at least General Pokemon Gaming.

What do you mean how could you worship a Pokémon? I could worship an old teaspoon if I wanted to.

I only put it here because I was reffering to the building in Hearthrome which is a DPP city.

I dont know if anyone has seen the trailer for the new film but it looks like there is an entire culture of people that worship arceus or something like that

I think he meant serious, as in not uptight or overbearing, not as they are true Christians as compared to some one who is not true. There is no need to attack some some one over a comment that could be misinterpreted.

Don't forget that Sinnoh is based off the island of Hokkaido, which is close to Russia. There is a famous cathedral in Hokkaido dedicated to St. Nicholas of Japan, who brought Orthodox Christianity to Japan in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Look familiar?

I don't think Nintendo is trying to slip religion into the games, but merely putting landmarks in from Japan. Just like the Sprout Tower is based off a Buddhist shrine in Nara, Japan.

That's something interesting I never knew. But also Pokemon itself has always been very spiritual with ghost Pokemon said to be the souls of dead Pokemon. And Arceus being the Pokemon God. Also there are a lot of creation and origin of live myths in Pokemon.

If I could get an Arceus I would make them bow down to him and serve me....but If I had Arceus I control the world anyway. But the first time I went there I quickly went out, the place was worthless besides offering some info on their religion.

So nothing special happens if you bring Arceus there?

theres like a church or something religous in every game really. There probably are pokemon religions because they have like festivals and traditions. Such as the one in the 2nd film :)

No, Arceus does not do anything when it is in the church I don't think.

I guess you could just think of it however you want though, as really the Hearthome Church doesn't have a meaning to it so far. Perhaps you'd might want to think the place is there as a place to pray for the dead pokémon, a place to praise your pokémon or whatever you want to think. The church is most likely just a fancy show in Hearthome and has no meaning that would be really important to the game.

It would be nice if one day Nintendo could make an event happen there, but I wouldn't know what it would be like. The church doesn't bother me much and if it's just to sit there, I'm fine with that. Plus, the Sinnoh region has many things you can do--especially in Pokémon Platinum.

I've always wondered about this church place, and I was expecting Game Freak to give some details about it in Platinum, since it had no purpose in Diamond and Pearl anyway. I don't understand why they would put something like this into a game, but give no purpose to it.
