That place in Hearthome was weird, the only place in the game where no music played o.o But I guess they could be worshiping.
yea the no music thing was kinda odd
they might be praying to the god pokemon
aka arceus

wait, if there is a religion where the worship pokemon in sinnoh, then wtf happens to Jesus?

I did some research at bulbapedia:

They say It hatched from an egg in nothing and shaped the world with its 1,000 arms. It was made before the universe was created.

If this was found in legend, and people inform you of this in Pokemon DP and Platinum, then people must believe it. AA large group of believers that believe in the same thing is known as religion. I believe in the arceus theory. There is religion in Pokemon, but they candy-coat it so they dont have problems with real=world religions and stuff... That would be funny if the news reveals a debate with religion and nintendo.

A friend of mine postulated that Arceus will have baby named JesusNoob
Just kidding but wouldn't that be interesting

The sinnoh region is in a whole new world, vmaybe a whole different universe. Jesus isn't a person or God there, they most likely never even heard of the bible. Was that a joke? lol...

Oh yeah, and that jesusnoob thing can offend some people... I know you were kidding, I even laughed, but i dont want people to be offended...

ULTIMATE LOL!!! Chuck norris?!?!?! xD xD xD

Given how deeply the Shinto religion (or at least its concepts) are integrated into Japanese culture, it would make sense the cosmology of the Pokemon Universe is similar to that. Sinnoh is the most religious of the regions, with many people professing belief or at least some sort of interest in the local Legendary Pokemon, as well as the most sacred sites. Pokemon themselves resemble Kami, the spirits of Shinto that run the world, as they are fantastic creatures with powers over the world around them.

I always wondered why that building was there. In the end, I made up my mind about it and just thought Nintendo put it there to scare us :(

Eh I'm a Christian myself I'm just not so uptight about it as long as it's not taken too far.
But yeah I'm sorry if anyone was offended.

I think that maybe the legendary "god" Pokémon aren't really gods - rather, they're just really powerful Pokémon and that's all (as well as being incredibly rare). The reason why they were worshiped is because the humans were amazed at their power and thought they must be gods. That's just my theory, of course.
