I've been here for a little while now since re-joining. I was once known here as the user DragonHeart and the Art Gallery and Home of the Sprites (now Pixel Art) were some of my favorite spots on PC.

Here's a bit of my recent art background, as quoted from another of my posts:

I like both traditional drawing and digital art, as well as occasional crafts. I like to think that I'm very well-rounded since I can adapt easily to different mediums or software, so graphic design works perfectly for me. I've got the latest versions of Photoshop and Illustrator, but the only computer I have that will run them properly needs a new motherboard.

I make lots of different graphics, from Photoshop airbrushing to vector illustrations to pixel art. I'm not spectacular at any of them, but rather balanced between the three. I also use Photoshop to make 3D textures for 'products' for the 3D instant messenger, IMVU, under the username PixelDragon.

This one isn't that old. It was the final project for GD214, a class I had just last quarter on Adobe Illustrator CS3. I already had some solid background with it, and have a copy of my own. Vector is growing to be one of my favorite digital mediums; the only real downside is that until I get a Mac, even my best computer has trouble handling some of Illustrator's more intensive functions.

This little thing has been around for a couple of years now. I made it completely from scratch out of wooden dowels, wire, glass beads, polymer clay, and white acrylic paint. It's one of the rare spontaneous crafts that I actually completed, and I still have it with me.

This one is a year or two old, and began as a pencil doodle to alleviate boredom. I almost never draw scales on scaly creatures, but this time I did as a contrast to the fur. All I did to color it was use Photoshop's color replacement tool on the pencil scan. Also, no crit on the shading here, since I know it looks flat.

This is a manipulation of a photo I took of my cat. This was made before I had Photoshop, when I used Paint Shop Pro. It's safe to say I really liked the diffuse glow filter, perhaps a bit too much.

You're a really good artist! I really like that you work with such different mediums, too :3 I need to work on that xD

I like the sculpture, too! Good work, I'd love to see more <3

    Thanks for your comment! :3

Yeah, keeping to one thing is kinda boring, and I'm fickle so I'm always changing my mind and moving on to the next thing that looks fun. I also can't stand to ask/commission others to make something if I can figure out how to do it myself, and I've learned lots of things that way.

Here's more art, though I'm trying to save some for art bumps:

The first one was doodled during a slideshow in 2D design class while we were studying the concept of 'line'. Later I scanned it and vectorized it in Illustrator.

I liked the style so much I decided to do a second one, this time of Kenshin. It's very rare that I do fanart at all (at least of human characters), so this might be the only one you see.

Shoot... only two comments? I thought I might at least get a bit more attention here than crummy dA... :[

    Thank you, though!

I would like to know what it is about my art that looks nice... or what makes it look bad. I have more in stock, but at this rate I'll need it for art bumps.

My avi/siggy is also my art, in fact my most recent art. The large version is here, and there are other colors I didn't post just because it'd be silly to post a copy for each.

comments=LOVE, right? :3*GASP* do more peopel liek him. the facial structure there is perfect~<3 i lvoe the linearts you do :3 theyre very nice. <3 i love how you did the shooting stars (i assume..?) on the top one! <3 s'very pretty. and ithe way the writing is mkes the fox/wolf thing look like its singing<3 very awesome~
(ps, i lvoe acts like that one<3 we used to have one the visited our garden, but she dissappeard :( shame, theyre so pretty)

Lol, I might try to do more stuff like that Kenshin, but in truth, I got extremely lucky with the facial structure. It looks absolutely nothing like the awful monstrosities that come out when I try human faces normally. Also, it's in profile view, which is way~ easier than the 3/4 view I always do/screw up. Animals are so~ much easier to draw for me than people.

I need to crack open my folders of drawings and start scanning more... but this thread's probably gonna die whether I post or not. >.>

Anyway, here's another doodle, just the head of a pretty old character that I sketched in a different style more recently:
