The expiring flame of the candle casts a diminishing glow through the window. Upon entering you notice a letter awaiting you on the dusty table. It bears your name as the addressee. The message is shrouded in mystery, and it seems to you that what is left unsaid is much more important than the hastily scribbled words:


Dear Trainer,

Your achievements thus far have outlined you as a person we would gladly have on our side when pursuing our quest. We are familiar with your striving to become the best in a world where competition is fierce and challenge awaits at every corner. In our face you are likely to meet similar people with unquenchable desire to climb to the top of the ladder. However, we share a principal of stealth action due to a very important reason.

We have recently discovered hints of an event which has occured thousands of years ago, its consequences still casting its echo in our world. You are probably familiar with the cataclysmic battle that Groudon and Kyogre fought when the world was in its dawn. It seems that this seemingly savage confrontation was kindled by something yet unknown. The traces lead to a dark abysmal place where few tread. Our chief investigator, Doctor Rex Barker, has not been in contact for a few days and we fear the worst. He is probably still alive as his skills in surviving such predicaments have proven countless times that he is able to deal with them swiftly and efficiently. However, it has now been too long and albeit we have not lost hope completely, panic is starting to rise among our members. An expedition was launched a few weeks ago and they should be nearing the place by the time you read this letter.

Your help in this would be invaluable as we're going to try and embark on a journey that may change the fate of the planet for the better. Imagine if we could interrupt the chain of events that have been set in motion. That would be equivalent to casting light upon a waning world. Please consider this carefully and despite our plea, be conscious of the dangers that await you. Leaping into the unknown is not for everyone alike. That is why we chose you.

P.S. The scenario of the battle between Groudon and Kyogre will not be repeated, as the doctor has informed us of late. This time it will be something on a global scale with much more catastrophic effects. We hope that you're not disillusioned. We will be waiting for you by the exit of the cave, which is indicated on your map.


In the envelope, you find enclosed a map and a compass. Apart from your Pokemon, they will be your abiding companions for the rest of the journey. You take a closer a look at the map and descry a red cross indicating the position of the cave. Judging by its location, it shouldn't take you more than two weeks to reach. As you unfold the map more and more, searching for an additional hint, you find the following form:

Age: 15
Appearance: I've been described as a stunning looking girl; I'm not paticularily pretty, but I've got an elegant figure, and I'm taller than most girls I know. My white hair falls to my chin, except for two long bangs, which fall to my chest. I will be dressed in skinny-jeans, and a woolen, beige, wide necked jumper, which I will roll down until my shoulders are bare. My eyes are green, not that you'll notice them behind my glasses... You'll notice me immedietly, I hope.
Personality: I've been called aggressive in the past... Personally, I tihnk it makes me a good battler and business woman.
Achievements: I didn't take an interest in pokemon until the age of five, when I was given a white eevee as a gift - mother said it matched my hair. Of course, we soon bonded, and I found out I had a flair for battling. In a few years, I had won every rookie tournament in Kanto, and I managed to persuade my mtoher to let me evolve my eevee. Mother was worried we would clash if my eevee's colour changed, but she evovled into Vaporeon and we still went together swimmingly! Soon my vaporeon and I began to take on all the opposition, and we became very well known. I ran my own gym for a year, but I soon tired of that.
History: My parents are very rich. I'll inherit Daddy's business once I turn seventeen, may I point out. I didn't really have a bad childhood, though I was very much shoved to the side. My parents were very busy, and it was just me and my eevee a lot of the time. We ran away several times - I guess that's where my good sense of adventure comes from. I'm pretty into exploring.

History of Pokemon: Shingle was given to me as a present, while I rescued Tinder as a child. The poor boy was going to be put down, no one wanted him in the petshop. Bijou, I caught later on, as a silly little Oddish. Everyone told me that she would amount to notihng, but I put ever such a lot of effort into training her to prove them wrong. I have more, but these are the three I use most often.
Skills: I am adept at hacking, and creating technical wonders. I'm also paticularily good at pokemon psycoligy - I was bored, and did a course a few years ago. Obviously, I passed in flying colours!

Name: Maverick 'Zeon' Yaiba. I prefer Zeon
Age:15
Appearance: I always wear my training jumpsuit, aqua blue with long red string going vertically along the fabric. I'm slightly above average for 15, about 5'11. I have combed back purple hair that ends in ripples at my neck, but I have one huge bang that covers my scarred right side, a reminder of past incidents. Also, I wear gloves, always.

Personality: I'm the humorous type, always one to make someone laugh. I like a nice atmosphere where things are relaxed and peaceful, but when it comes down to the importants, I am always above serious.

Achievements: I'm not one of well known stature. The only achievement that I feel is worthy of the title is me avenging my father by destroying the Abyss Entity. I one of the many champions of Kanto, Johto, and am currently working on Hoenn.

History: When I was just six, my hometown of Dovingloom on the outskirts of Kanto was attacked by a monstrousity known as the Abyss Entity. I am the only Dovington that survived that attack, and my father was the first victim as he tried to stall for us. After that, I was rescued by some traveling fishermen that dropped me off in Pallet Town, where a foster family adopted me. Over the years, I saw great Trainers achieve their dreams, like Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow. Those Trainers inspired me to become a Trainer. On my 11th birthday, after I studied every book upon Pokemon, I started my quest, starting off with an aggresive Charmander. After a while, we became best friends and finally took vengance on A.E. after we conquered the 8th Gymleader. After that, I took the Pokemon League challenge, won, and left my Kanto team to my foster family to watch over them and headed to Johto with my Charizard. After conquering the 8 Gymleaders and becoming the Johto League Champ, I headed towards Hoenn, leaving my Charizard to a friend of mine I met on my journey. I am now currently training my new Hoenn team for my part time job as a Breeder.

Surprised I got this letter..

Name: Owen Burns

Age: 17

Appearance: I'm tall and I guess of an average weight, my clothing doesn't particularly stand out. I usually wear a t-shirt sporting a sarcastic message and some jeans, either that or a Jersey representing my favorite football team here in Kanto.

Personality: I'm smarter than most of my friends, and because of that, I'm used to being thrust into a leadership role, but I don't know if that'll help at all. I like to make people laugh, but I also get frustrated easily if someone's slow or doesn't quite understand after a long time. That's why most of my friends are pretty smart and get along with me just fine.

Achievements: Always at the height of my classes when it comes to academics, but it's not the desire to learn that drives me, it's the desire to show that I can beat the rest of my peers. Caught my first pokemon well ahead of everyone else I knew, at about three years old. Sure, I had a little help..but who hasn't? Emancipated myself at sixteen from an abusive household, and now live alone and have been working as an aide to a Silph Co. Engineer to get a bit of income. Won a few random pokemon tournaments, nothing huge..yet.

History: I was born and raised in Saffron City, attending public schools and just being the 'smart kid' for a while, but when I found that I could make people laugh it helped me gain friends pretty easily. My parents, unlike some of my friends' parents, were still together. Unfortunately, the way they yell and throw things, they'd probably be better off in different regions! I never became fully dedicated to Pokemon until about age thirteen, when I realized how good it felt to win battles and just enjoy beating others like that. Shifting often between being a pokemon trainer and an assistant engineer, I've pretty much solely focused on pokemon for the last year or so.

Age: 15
Appearance: I have long black hair and mismatched eyes - one is blue and the other is silver. I'm not particularly tall, perhaps even a little below average. I'm pretty frail-looking, due to a high metabolism.
Personality: I'm pretty cheerful and friendly and it's hard to get me mad but watch out if you do! Sometimes, though, I'll have little quiet, depressed spells. But they fade.
Achievements: Got my first pokemon when I was about five, though it was a complete accident. I had wandered into the long grass with one of my elder brother's pokeballs and got attacked by a Rattata. A baby Ponyta was passing by and stepped on the Rattata's tail and then, when the Rattata tried to attack, used ember until it ran away. I through the pokeball at the Ponyta and by pure luck caught it. My brother then found me and let me keep the Pontya. Also, I gained my first badge when I was nine.
History: I ran away from home in when I was nine, after my father died, and started off as a pokemon trainer. I was extremely lucky with getting my badges, though everyone says that I trained my pokemon well, and that luck had nothing to do with it.
Pokemon: Saint (Rapidash), Myrr(Dratini), Scythe (Absol), Terror (Fearow), Snow(Dewgong), Dancer (Kirlia)

Appearance: What can I say? I'm huge, I have 1,90m hehehe!
Personality: A little arrogant, a little sympathic but only sometimes, a little flat and a little timid. Eheheheheh!
Achievements: I caught my first pokemon at the age of 11 years old ONLY, it was a Charmander, but I call him "Sarmander". After catching him I started fighting to earn all the badges and Pokemons, I still didn't get one badge until now, tough, but I keep trying.
History: I am Alexis, and this is my history! I catched my first Pokemon at the age of 11, my Sarmander! But now, my objective is to earn all the badges and pokemons I can get, I didn't catch one badge until now, but, I have faith that I can get some badges right now.
Pokemon: At this moment, I have only 2 pokemons with me:

Charmander-> Sarmander - Male Pokemon
Oddish-> Lettish - Female Pokemon

History of Pokemon: I already said that I catched Sarmander at the age of 11, but I didn't talked about Lettish yet, it was a Pokemon very difficult to catch, but looks like it's worth it, 'cause Lettish is a very good Pokemon, she helps me a lot in the fights and thanks to her I already won 3 Pokemon battles and lost only 1.

All of you are in. Prepare for an exciting journey, well beyond your wildest dreams. One of our people will accompany you from your starting point to the final destination. His name is Alvar:

Age: 17

Appearance: Aways blending in with the crowd, Alvar wears casual, unpretentious clothing which doesn't stand out by its colour or design. An old, almost ancient-looking hat attempts to conceal his recalcitrant hair. His face is bright, always alight with an ingenuous smile. His general posture reflects a lively spirit ardent for adventure. While sometimes appearing tousled and disheveled, the teenager tries his best to weave his personality into his looks. Most of the time he could be seen wearing his favourite trousers, which he has had for seven years and now look as if salvaged from a trash bin. He has purposely excercised his poor designer skills on them in a vain attempt to adjust the design to his taste. The result is a bizarre fusion between shorts and trousers with faded colour and tears on the sides.

Personality: He considers himself a timid person, acting tentatively and thinking bravely. He would have a plan ready for every situation, no matter how aggravated the state of things becomes. Because of this, the others fail to see him as a person with faltering courage. As odd as it may seem, he is offended by this and on remarks addressing this issue he replies with a splenetic flare. Otherwise he prefers things to go as planned and always has a plan B if something goes wrong. Unfortunately, the same applies to the emotional aspect of life, which hampers his developing a strong relationship with anyone apart from his pokemon.

Achievements: Hearing him mention an achievement of his is as rare as seeing Mew. The reputation he has build over the years precedes him, however, betraying his identity wherever he goes. He discovered one night that the only way to escape the fame and glory was to flee to a deserted place or join the mysterious organisation known as team eVo. He considers this as one of his greatest achievements so far.

History: Little is known about him since he decided to disappear from the face of the earth. No one has ever seen him after that night he spent alone in the forest. Although he vowed to come back and put an end to the corruption in his home town, his promise still remains unfulfilled. His parents, a man and woman whose lineage stems from very poor people, decided to leave destiny to decide what is best for the young boy. From that moment on, his absence was not mentioned again. Gradually everyone forgot about him, which suited the boy excellently.

Pokemon: Jolteon, Dugtrio, Kingdra

History of Pokemon: His parents had said once that one cannot choose his own pokemon. They will choose him instead. That's what happened with the three faithful companions of Alvar. Jolteon witnessed his birth and never left his side again. Kingdra joined him on his quest to become a pokemon master after Alvar helped it to recover a lost pearl. Dugtrio just... appeared out of nowhere and decided to dig in its presence deep into the boy's heart. And it succeeded.

Skills: No one has ever seen him doing anything exceptionally complicated. He is good at deciphering codes and he's also a good orator.

Age: 14


Appearance: Wears pair of jeans, and a short-sleeved T-Shirt in warm times, but had a long black trenchcoat for chilly weather. He wears a Green headband that, when tilted, covers his left eye.


Personality: Generally a kind person, and somehow it winds up getting him into serious trouble. His headstrong actions make, and lose many friends.


Acheivements: His only true acheivement is catching his first pokemon and training it with the utmost care.


History: He was extremely picky about his pokemon, and that led him into trouble with a certain Scyther when he was five. He was cut badly, leaving him in the ER for three weeks. He has been just as headstrong since, seemingly in spite of his scars.



Pokemon: Gardevoir(Female), Venomoth(male)


History of pokemon: As a Ralts, Gardevoir was his first pokemon, caught at the age of five, shortly after the Scyther incedent, and the bonded miracaculously.The two have been inseperable.
Venomoth was caught at the age of 7, and he has invested many hours training the two, against foes and each other. They all have extremely close ties.


Skills: Telepathy with Gardevoir

Appearance: Black hair, green eyes, average height. He wears whatever is comfortable, usually shorts, white sandels, and a red T-shirt (he has dozens). He always wears a blue ring on the first finger of his right hand.
Personality: Nice and friendly, Thunder cares about the ones close to him, including his pokemon. He always tries to do the right thing, though he sometimes lets his emotions get in his way. Also, he often blends into the background, which causes him to be ignored an unusual amount of timer.
Achievements: He founded the Johto Puzzle Makers Society when he was 12 and still helps run it. From the JPMS, he has gained a large amount of money, which not too many people know about.
History: Born and raised in a small town north of Mt. Silver, Thunder never knew any family but his father. At five years of age, he had an adventure that he forgot about afterwards, but which continues to show up in his dreams. This event made Thunder appreciate pokemon more and understand them as well.
Pokemon: Pikachu, Pidgeot, Eevee, Lugia (named Silver. It's young), Rapidash, and Butterfree.

Appearance: male. is taller than most people. wears a long black coat with many pockets. this coat is always done up to the waist with a belt letting the end of it flap around his ankles. eyes are covered with a device with a long red horizontal strip that glows red when it is dark. his hair is jet black and spiked up. his hands are covered with black leather gloves and his sleeves are sometimes rolled up. his shoes are black trainers and blur when he is running fast.

Personality:is a dark and calculating figure. likes to follow the crowd and add his opinion to interesting matters. he will help when he is needed and left to his own devises will sit down and wait for someone to need his help or advice. has a fear of being left alone and will panic if there is no-one near. is internally miserable but tries to hide it from other people.

Achievements: acomplished pokemon center training with flying colours. won the mart award for bying 1000 potions.

History: lived inside a large house in the middle of a mining pit. left on his own for his entire childhood in a small room with everything he needed. his servant would visit and sometime talk to him until his father shouted up the stairs. he would only go downstairs it was a mealtime and would sit at a large table peering up at his large father and frail mother that are only a shadow in his memory now. in his room he would often watch the pokemon mining and would cry when he saw the trainers shout at them for being lazy, no-good and so on. after his father unserimoniuosly kicked him out he was left alone in the world until he found a freind for help. now his freind is now dead due to his actions and all he has left in the world is a certificate showing he can heal pkmn and his blissy...

Skills: can see illness or pain due to his eye gadget.

Personality:Loves fighting, and has a rather hot temper(o_O), but I like to help people when I can. I can be pretty annoying when I'm bored, but it doesn't look I shall be very bored on this "adventure".
Achievements:I am a champion of Hoenn and Johto leagues, but have yet to defeat the Kanto league.
History: I recieved a shiny Absol at age 10 for my first pokemon, and she is quite alot like me. She had helped me actually catch my first Pokemon, a Mightyena. (I live in Lilycove, they're rather common around there) I had decided that I would be a dark/dragon/fire trainer. Those types, I found out later, weren?t all too common. My parents got a divorce when I was 12. (OOC:They almost/might have) Raiza and Shade were the only ones to comfort me(since I hadn't become a trainer yet, I would start at age 13) I was a partial loner loner then, and that didn't help. I might like to help people, but I didn't get the chance too often because I was a loner.
