A team, but not too great on team naming

[PokeCommunity.com] A team, but not too great on team naming

Introduction
It's been a long while since I made an RMT which I still would like to have an RMT machine! But hi there, friends! I've made this team last month, in which as you can see, it's pretty much a bulky offensive team. Why bulky offense? Well, it's pretty much my favourite playstyle, because, bulky offense always makes me feel 'safe' as I try taking on the opponents team with little to worry about in return, with safe switch ins and what not. The theme of this team is Fire Emblem, which makes this team more enjoyable to play for me, imo!

Genesect @ Choice Scarf **** Titania

  • Download
  • 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Spe
  • Naive Nature [+Speed, -Special Defense]
  • Moveset:
    • U-Turn - Probably the move that I use the most with this pokemon. U-Turn provides great scouting purposes, as well as denting pokemon that do like to switch on it.
    • Thunderbolt - I like this move because it provides cover for water pokemon like Azumarill who are becoming more popular, so I don't have to rely on much else, really. Heatran and Gliscor can appreciate this!
    • Flamethrower - This move is powerful against opposing Genesect, as well as other steel type pokemon like Aegislash, Ferrothorn or Scizor. I like the coverage to steel pokemon for the fairy type pokemon!
    • Ice beam - This move covers Dragons and Flying pokemon like Salamence, Dragonite, or Landorus, which are pretty strong, but, this move does nicely against them.

    .....
  • Why this Pokemon?:
Genesect is a pretty amazing revenge killer, and a great scouter for the team. It provides steel typing against other steel types, and covers Azumarill nicely by checking Grass types, and Florges by covering Steel pokemon.
    .....
  • EVs & Nature:
    • 252 Speed allows Genesect to hit its maximum speed stat: 326. Along with Choice Scarf, it reaches around 374 speed, allowing it to outspeed Adamant Salamence or Dragonite after they Dragon Dance once.
    • 252 Special attack, allows Genesect to hit as hard as it can with its special moves.
    • 4 Hp is filler, for survivability.

    Bug Buzz maybe?

Heatran @ Leftovers **** Gatrie

  • Flash Fire
  • 4 HP | 252 SpA | 252 Spe
  • Timid Nature [+Speed, -Attack]
  • Moveset:
    • Hidden Power Ice - This move covers things like Dragonite, Salamence, or Gliscor who like to switch in occasionally. Hidden Power Ice, along with good prediction, can wipe them out!
    • Earth Power - Mainly for pokemon like opposing Heatran, or other fire or electric types.
    • Lava Plume - This move is pretty handy for those who like to switch into Heatran, and the added burn pressure can be quite good for making them reconsider switching habits!
    • Stealth Rock - Ah, and of course, Stealth Rock is good ultility for my team, and is pretty much a staple for all teams.

    .....
  • Why this Pokemon?:
Heatran can switch into a lot of things for the team - steel types for the fairy pokemon, Fire types for Genesect, and Ice types for the flying pokemon. It's also the pokemon that provide stealth Rock support for the group!

    .....
  • EVs & Nature:
    • 252 Speed lets Heatran hit its maximum speed mark: 278, to outspeed Aegislash before it gets the jump with Secret Sword.
    • 252 Special attack, let's Heatran hit has hard as possible with it's Timid nature.
    • 4 HP is to allowing a minor increase in the hit taking ability of Heatran, but is mostly filler.

    .....
  • Considered Changes
Magma Storm > Lava Plume? It hits harder than Fire Blast now.

Azumarill @ Leftovers **** Mia

  • Huge Power
  • 252 HP | 252 Attack | 4 Special Defense
  • Adamant Nature [+Attack, -Special Attack]
  • Moveset:
    • Waterfall - This is Azumarill's main STAB move. Along with it's ability, it hits a lot of pokemon for a ton of damage!
    • Aqua Jet - Azumarill's priority STAB move. It's great on picking up weakened pokemon for revenge killing, or cleaning up.
    • Play Rough - Another one of Azumarill's STAB moves, now that it's a Fairy Type. It's a really cool move that puts a lot of pressure to Dragon pokemon like Latios!
    • Knock Off - This move is pretty interesting, now that Azumarill is able to get it; it allows Azumarill to disrupt the enemy's pace by knocking off their items like Choice Scarf or what not, or make them lose power by knocking off a Life Orb. It can even weaken survivability by knocking off Leftovers; loads of great uses!

    .....
  • Why this Pokemon?:
Azumarill became more amazing in this generation, in my opinion. It's now one of my number one Dragon Checks, as it's uneffected by Dragon type moves, as a nice cover for Salamence, and it's able to lure in Steel pokemon, and knocking off their leftovers. It's also really strong with its moves, thanks to Huge Power!
    .....
  • EVs & Nature:
    • 252 Attack with an Adamant gives Azumarill 218 attack, along with Huge Power, it becomes 436!
    • 252 HP Gives Azumarill it's max HP, so it can be bulky enough to sponge a couple of hits.
    • 4 SpD is filler, but lets Azumarill take a few loose special attacks like a power Fire Blast.

    .....

    Nothing at the moment

Florges @ Leftovers **** Mist

  • Flower Veil
  • 252 HP | 4 Special Attack | 252 Special Defense
  • Calm Nature [+Special Defense, -Attack]
  • Moveset:
    • Wish - This move provides great utility upon helping the teammates to heal up after taking much attacks.
    • Protect - This always goes well with Wish and Toxic, for Wish healing, and Toxic stalling. It can also help me to see what Choice users are up to.
    • Moonblast - Florge's STAB move. It's.. actually on the strong side special attack wise, even with a Calm Nature, having 261 Special Attack, so Moonblast is a great attack against Dragon or Fighting pokemon!
    • Toxic - This move puts pressure on the opponent, and it also allows me to counter-stall a bit, when necessary!

    .....
  • Why this Pokemon?:
Don't underestimate Florge's ability to take special attacks; it's really amazing on what it does, from ultility Wish Passing, to Toxic stalling, and it even serves a secondary Dragon counter too!
    .....
  • EVs & Nature:
    • 252 HP allows Florges to have 360 HP, in order to help it take moves.
    • 252 SpD gives Florges 447 Special Defense, so it can sponge special moves effectively.
    • 4 SpA is filler, but does help out Florges's good special attack.

    .....
  • Considered Changes
    None so far.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb **** Sothe

  • Poison Heal
  • 252 HP | 200 Defense | 56 Speed
  • Impish Nature [+Defense, -Special Attack]
  • Moveset:
    • Earthquake - Gliscor's STAB move on it helping it to defeat things like Aegislash or Heatran.
    • Ice Fang - This move allows it to take on Opposing gliscor, or Dragons who switch in from time to time.
    • Taunt - This allows Gliscor to mess with Skarmory or Ferrothorn, and it's a great staple on stopping Stall teams.
    • Toxic - This is great against stall teams who lack a heal bell cleric. Plus, it's a good way to put added poison pressure upon the opponent.

    .....
  • Why this Pokemon?:
Gliscor is a physical tank, who can take a variety of hits, and it's a great check on steel pokemon. It's flying typing allows it to dodge Earthquakes for Heatran, and it's Earthquake moves allow it to put relief for Florges and Azumarill against steel pokemon.
    .....
  • EVs & Nature:
    • 252 HP is for Gliscor survivability, so it can take keeping hits, and heal up thanks to it's poison heal.
    • 200 Defense gives it a 369 Defense stat, so it can take physical moves, like a +2 Shadow Sneak from Aegislash.
    • 56 Speed lets Gliscor have 240 speed, so it can outspeed non-timid Heatrans, and the like.

    .....
  • Considered Changes
Knock Off > Ice Fang or Protect > Ice Fang maybe.

Salamence @ Life Orb **** Jill

  • Intimidate
  • 4 Attack | 252 Special Attack | 252 Speed
  • Rash Nature [+Special Attack, -Special Defense]
  • Moveset:
    • Draco Meteor - I'd like to have this Salamence more of a attack and run pokemon, so, Draco Meteor provides great damage on pokemon so it'll be tough to switch into it, aside from Fairy or Steel pokemon, of course.
    • Roost - This works great for healing all of the recoil damage from the life Orb, so this Dragon can live for quite a while!
    • Fire Blast - This move is super effective against Skarmory, Ferrothorn, or Scizor for people who lie tho think this is a Dragon Dance set.
    • Earthquake - This provides coverage against Heatran, or Aegislash, as well as some loose electric types like Helioisk.

    .....
  • Why this Pokemon?:
Salamence helps to hit hard and get rid of pokemon that are problematic. So basically, it provides more breathing room for the rest of my pokemon. It's dragon typing allows it to take fire moves for Genesect, and it's moves helps it to get rid of Steel type pokemonfor the fairies.
    .....
  • EVs & Nature:
    • 4 Att allows Salamence to hit as hard as possible with Earthquake.
    • 252 Special Attack allows Salamence to hit really hard with Draco Meteor or Fire Blast.
    • 252 Speed lets it to outspeed some pokemon that have less than 299 speed.

    .....
  • Considered Changes
Outrage, Brick break, or.. Switch it to a Dragon Dance sweeper? Hm.

Conclusion

That's it! Hope you enjoy this RMT of mine. <3 If want the format of this RMT, feel free to ask me, and I shall receive. Like all RMTs, suggestions/rates/death threats to never use this team again are always welcome.

Also, here's the importable text:

Spoiler:

Sylveon and Florges have similar special bulk, but I feel that Sylveon gets the nod ahead of Florges because it passes bigger Wishes and Pixilate gives it a stronger Fairy STAB in Hyper Voice:
-Wish
-Protect
-Hyper Voice
-Heal Bell
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate

Knock Off is best used with Assault Vest Azumarill, as it's very bulky on the special end and still dishes out pain in its own way:
-Aqua Jet
-Play Rough
-Power-Up Punch
-Knock Off/Waterfall
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 16 HP/252 Atk/240 SDef
Item: Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power

Consider Knock Off on Gliscor; in the event Azumarill goes down, Gliscor acts as backup.

I don't know if mixMence can do well this generation because of all the Fairies running around. Outside of Iron Tail and Earthquake, Salamence can't do much to Fairies at all. Really, the best it can do this generation is Dragon Dance, but Mega Charizard X and Dragonite do it better because the former's Tough Claws powers up its main moves (Flare Blitz, Dragon Claw, Outrage) while the latter has better setup opportunities thanks to Multiscale:

Charizard X:
-Dragon Dance
-Flare Blitz
-Dragon Claw/Outrage
-Earthquake/Roost
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Item: Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze

Dragonite:
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage/Dragon Claw
-Extreme Speed
-Fire Punch/Thunder Punch/Earthquake
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Item: Lum Berry/Leftovers/Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale

If you insist on keeping Salamence, change the nature and EV spread to Naive and 64 Atk/192 SAtk/252 Spe for a faster spread.

Given the fact that Genesect switches around a lot and Salamence (or Charizard or Dragonite if you choose to use them) are weak to Stealth Rock, a Rapid Spinner may be needed. Starmie can do that. I'd suggest Excadrill, but you'll have too many Steels:
-Hydro Pump/Surf
-Psyshock/Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Rapid Spin
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
Item: Life Orb/Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure

or
-Scald
-Rapid Spin
-Psyshock/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt
-Recover
Nature: Timid
EVs: 248 HP/32 Def/4 SAtk/224 Spe
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
