    Greetings all pokemon fans and trainers, i'm known online as Quotex, however most friends call me Bryan. First of all i am still not very familliar with pokemon, i know about it watched some episodes, but i still don't knwo everything of pokemon. That's why i joined the community.

    I live in the Netherlands and i'm 16 years old. My first pokemon game was actually Pokemon Yellow (which was actually a fail since they also had gold by the time i bought it) A few years later i got got pokemon silver, and i also watched the anime. The latest pokemon i currently have is already in it's granpa phase, Sapphire, from ye olde gen 3, it was also the one with fully colored graphics. I also have a few pokemon VHS tapes, (or had them, i dunno what their current location is.)

    Another reason for me joining the community is because i saw Captain Arcanes work. Which was like, the definition of cool. When i found out he also was on this forum, and one of my friend too, i decided to join. However since he is inactive, i am going to attempt something simmilar, though a bit smaller, and with less features as he was intended to use.

    Although there is a problem, I can only make maps, although i am pretty good at it, with all the other vital things needed my skills pretty much suck. And i know i will need to show my moves before i will get any respect.

    Since this is the first time i join a pokemon forum please DO NOT CRITIC-BOMB me, as i hate people that bully the new members.

    I hope to have a great time here at the community.

    Hey there, you shouldn't worry bout gettin' bullied by other members, I'm sure you'll get along just fine.

    You're talking bout mapping, does that mean you're going to make your own fan game or hack? anyway I wish good luck with it.

    Thanks for replying, it makes me feel welcome. And yes i would like to have my own fan game (as stated above) But since i already know getting a good game creation team is hard. And since i can only map, it should be difficult getting people for the other tasks. How ever i should be able to post up a quick Overview of the game, i would like to create, including detailed features, maybe that should wake up some interested in to helping me.

    Although currently i am still in the idea phase. Still thinking of features, area's etc.
     
    Welcome to the community Quotex! Be sure to read the rules and stuff, but besides that most people here won't be a critic to you unless they are new or not cool, and most people are pretty nice here (though I don't know about the Emulation and Hacking sections though.) Maybe if you want to get back into Pokemon you can buy one of the newer games (you should be able to find a used Diamond or Pearl for about 20USD) or read up about everything you missed on Bulbapedia or Serebii. Also, if you want to make a hack I'm fairly positive that there are many members with expertice in many areas that you could befriend to learn how to do something or to aquire their help :D And once again, don't worry about people bullying you. That doesn't happen too much around here and if it does it doesn't happen for long.
     
    I currently am reading trough bulbapedia to find out some more info about the new pokemon species, but also to know where they live. Which sometimes can differ a lot form where you're able to find them in the anime. Don't worry since i have read the rules very carefully, to make sure that i don't make mistakes.

    Currently i am only armed with my imagination and the pokemon essentials for rpg maker XP, but after that i hope to find many friend who can help me to build my game from the ground up.
