    Oh hai de hey!!

    The name's Varion, I'm here due to my love of pokemon! :3
    Also, This place has Pokémon Esentials, which I shall be using to make a Pokémon Game with.

    But before I can do any of that, I need to post 15 times. No spam, of course

    Anyway, things about me... hmmm...

    My favourite Pokemon ever!! Is Ampharos <3
    But my favourite starter is Totodile/Mudkip. :I Game dependant of course, in terms of Video Games, Golden Sun is the best RPG series of all time to me <3 I play that stuff till dawn comes round. (huehue)

    So you're making a Pokémon game, huh? That sounds like great fun! Have you got any ideas for it already, or are you literally just starting out? In either case I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do; while I don't regularly visit Game Development, I know we've some excellent talent in that section!

    I'm very glad that you like Mudkip and I think we can be friends because of this!!!!!! It's my favourite starter too and for a very long time Marshtomp and Swampert were some of my favourite Pokémon. That title'd probably have to at least be shared with Starmie now, though. I've not heard of that Golden Sun game you mentioned, but I'll have a look at it when I'm next looking for something new to play.

    Indeed I am making a Pokémon game, and yes I've an idea for it, a story no doubt, and how the plot shall unfold, all I need to do is put plans into action.

    You must play Golden Sun, even if you have to emulate it, it's by far the best RPG I've played on the GBA, or DS
     
    Golden Sun, released in Japan as Ōgon no Taiyō: Hirakareshi Fūin (黄金の太陽 開かれし封印?, literally "Golden Sun: The Broken Seal"), is the first installment in a series of fantasy role-playing video games developed by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo. It was released in November 2001 for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance and was followed by a sequel, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, in 2003. The game is notable for certain distinctive game elements, such as the use of special "Djinn" that empower the player and can be used against enemies.
    Golden Sun's story follows a band of magic-attuned "Adepts" whose purpose, as it is revealed early on, is to protect the world of Weyard from alchemy, a potentially destructive power that was sealed away long ago.     Nope, I was mistaken. It's Fire Emblem that's tactical lol Golden Sun is turn-based.

    Think GCN's Final Fantasy: Tactics. That's tactical, as the name implies.

    Not my style. Turn-based is always a good one, though.

    Are there any other games you like? I like Resident Evil, the Tales series, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda series, Mario stuff, Kirby... lots of stuff :)
     
    Games I like:
    Pokémon (duh!) Golden Sun, Zelda, VVVVVV, Chasm, Mutant Mudds, Shovel Knight, Terraria, Minecraft, Angry Birds, Crush the Castle, Happy Wheels, Cave Story, Touhou.

    Hey there Varion, cool name btw.

    Ampharos being your favorite Pokemon automatically makes you cool. I simply love that guy, it's my favorite electric type! It's both cute and strong to boot. Though my all time favorite has to be Treecko, as you can plainly see by my avatar. It's a really cool looking Pokemon and the fastest Speed of any starter on top it off.

    Fan made projects are always neat. We have lots of talented hackers and developer here. You should definitely surf around Game Development and Emulation. You can find people to help you with anything you need as well as show off any hacks you make. I recommend you to look around PC and explore a bit cause you'll definitely find more than one section you like plus it helps you get to know more people. You also seem to be into lots of video games so Video Games is a good place for you to start as well. I heard a bit about Golden Sun though I've never played them before.

    I'll say what I've said to everyone in this thread, Play Golden Sun, it is arguably one of the greatest RPGs ever.
