Ability capsule not working

Hey everyone,

I want to switch my Empoleon's ability to competitive but I am unable to use an ability capsule on it for some reason. I got this Empoleon through the egg I got from Jacques in Kitakami.

Used the wrong item on it. Needs an Ability Patch, not an Ability Capsule.

• Ability Capsule: Changes a Pokemon's regular ability to its other regular ability. Example: Switches Machamp's Guts ability to No Guard.
• Ability Patch: Changes a Pokemon's regular ability to its Hidden ability. (Note: Typically rarer than the Ability Capsule.) May change a Pokemon's Hidden Ability to its regular ability in Generation 9, also.
