4th Gen About Pal Park

My friend may be willing to lend me his Emerald so I can use it in Pal Park, but neither of us know if, when bringing the Pokemon over into D/P, they'll be removed from the Emerald cartidge. Can somebody clear this up, because it will definitely affect his decision.

Yes, they would be removed from Emerald and can't go back. But why not clone if you friend doesn't like them leaving? (Search for a guide elsewhere if you don't know how to clone on Emerald)

He's the kind of player who doesn't like cloning and such. I guess I'm better off buying/borrowing the games myself. Or maybe I can con him into breeding them and then trading them off to me.
