As said before, people tend to act in the environment as they grew up in. Which is usually influenced more by their ethnic group than anything; so IMO its more stereotypical than racism.
I personally don't have a problem with this, a person can act however they want; as long as they refrain from breaking the law. One thing that does bug me though (I'm not trying to be racist) is how some people talk. They slur their words in a murmur and I can barely understand them and have to repeatedly ask them "Pardon?". It just gets frusterating, it seems like a whole new language simply because they're too lazy to pronounce letters and words properly instead of in a slurred manor? x:
Oh man. I hate that too. I work at a Subway (You know, the one where you get sandwiches) where I get people of all races coming through and nothing annoys me more than them being too lazy to prononce their english words properly so I can understand them. And what really makes me mad is that they turn around and accuse me of being hard of hearing or that I'm not listening to them.
But I do agree with you.
No one has the right to define how you should act. Yes, it
IS annoying to have someone of
any race act like the "black stereotype". But it's their right and I really dont give a dern who they act like.
But then too I can understand why some white people dont act "white" It's because if you act "white" people automatically label you as a racist. Not all of us are racists.
Any person no matter what their race can be a racist.
It's a problem that has haunted humankind for thousands of years.
As I said in my previous post, it's
not ok to apply stereotypes to people. In fact it's
WRONG IMO.
If stereotypes didnt exist we'd all be much happier.
I'm the type of person that would warmly welcome
anyone no matter how diifferent they are to the group. I dont discriminate against people.
I only shun someone if they have treated me badly or if they have wronged me in some other way. And even then I'm a very forgiving person. It's impossible for me to hate
anyone for very long. I dont hold grudges.
If more people would quit carrying the grudges from their ancestors and forgive distant past/historical injustices there would be much less racism these days.
There is
no proper reason to
hate anyone. There never will be.
If you "hate" some one you need to hunt them down and
try to resolve your differences. I say try because sometimes people are too stubborn to deal with you and talk the matter over like grown men and women should. And Kids should too. IMO at least.
Talk it over and try to clear up any and all misunderstandings and maybe you'll end up being friends.
Well, there's my opinion.
