I agree entirely with the suggestion. The whole broken/fix thing shouldn't come into it because it's making it easier for users, not "fixing" something. Shouldn't we want something that makes people's lives here a little easier rather than just saying "nope I don't need it so I assume most others don't"? idk I don't see the point in rejecting an idea because it's unnecessary for you, whereas it's something that can be useful for a whole lot of others. That also includes me, btw. There have been a few times when I've clicked the dropdown and wondered where it was because... I don't see why it doesn't fit there. For those of us who like profiles, it's just as important as avatars are.
Also it wouldn't be cluttered @ someone's post. There's four links, it'll add five - the only different thing would be getting used to the new order which'll take a short time but ultimately would be adventurous to users eventually, much like many of our other features that were unecessary but have proved to be of great use.
