This is how you add Pokemon to roms. Easy!
Programs Needed
NOTE: Neither Paint nor YAPE is really required if you just want to add a sprite/premade sprite!
PART 1
STEP 1: Get or make a sprite. (.png file would be best) You need front, back, and shiny for each... Make sure the background is only one color and front and back sprites have same amount of AND same colors. Each sprite must be 64x64 pixel image.
OPTIONAL STEP: You can place them across in this order without overlaying: front - front shiny - back - back shiny, to save time.
PART 2
STEP 2: Open Advanced Pokemon Sprite Editor.
STEP 3: Set the ROM .ini on the top-right of the program.
STEP 4: Open ROM matching the .ini file. (Emerald, Ruby, FireRed)
STEP 5: Go to the Pokemon you want to edit over/overwrite.
PART 3
STEP 6: Click Edit.
STEP 7: If you made the sprites into one image: click Import All. If you didn't: import each individually by clicking Import under the respective image you wish to edit.
STEP 8: The colors of the sprites will most likely not come out correctly. (different pallette) So to fix the pallette: Click Synchronize Palettes. (***If colors are off/wrong, either there are too many colors/not same amount of colors/different color from front to back... You can also edit the colors from the program itself :))
STEP 9: Hit OK
PART 4
STEP 10: Click Write To ROM (after everything looks as you wish it should)
STEP 11: Click Find Free Space
STEP 12: Hit OK
IT IS NOW SAVED!
TESTING/EXTRA EDITING!
Test with ROM.... and/or Edit with Y.A.P.E. (It is an easy program. It's self-explanatory...)
CONGRATS! You have added a PoKeMoN (sorry for no images... if enough posts here I can add images and links etc., or I will repost it. I think I should repost...)
