[Other] Adding a new map in Generation 1

    I want to add a small forest just west of Pallet Town. How would i go about this? A tool such as Pokémap or ClassicMap would be preferred, but if i need to edit hex values, i will.
     
    All you need is Advanced Map. If you have a .map file ready to go, simply just go to File < Open Map. Then when it is opened, just insert it. Also connections is needed, unless a warp is used to get there,
     
    It says the ROM is an unrecognized file type, but it's .gb, which is pretty standard format for Game Boy ROMs.
     
    Thank you. The problem is, i can only figure out how to edit existing areas instead of adding a new one.
     
    Well, upon looking through the hacks showcase, i found that someone else made a hack that's very similar to what i was planning to make. I guess that renders this thread obsolete. Thank you anyway.
