Adding "Thank you"

My thoughts exactly. Or even better. When asking a question, go ahead and say thanks in advance. I still stand on "there are a good number of alternatives" like I said before, and even better, they're not cluttering up a thread/post. I personally like having someone thank me on my profile. Could open up a new friendship. /cheesy
 
It could work, but is there a way so it doesn't display all the names of the people who have thanked a post?

-smacks self- Duhh. That would be better. If it said something like "5 people give thanks" or something along those lines, that'd be nice. And maybe if you hover over it, it can display usernames? If this thank you system was implemented, I like this idea better, just displaying the number of people that give thanks.

Yep, exactly like that. And the thing is if you do it with threads, you're liking the whole thread, not just one post.
