I... uh... well, this is very interesting, and scary. Editing audio as if it were text...

Got to say, whoever the programmers are at Adobe, sometimes they're frighteningly good...

That's pretty impressive. I wonder what it's going to do for voice-over work. Can you imagine, for instance, a movie where they rework a couple of lines for different audiences? Imagine the Harry Potter movies where they add in a bunch of American slang for international releases. Oh, but this could get pretty dark because now anyone famous caught saying something bad could just say it wasn't them.

Eh, I don't see what's scary about this. Audio, video, photo and text all already have ample facilities available to edit them. The specific ability to edit words (and, maybe in the future, notes) seems to me to be the logical evolution of tools like Logic, Audacity, Ableton, etc. In fact, I believe Adobe Audition already has some sound-editing capabilities.
