Ads By Google

I was annoyed with Google ads, I tried to sign up but they wouldn't let me because I have a subdomain o_O
 
yeah well they arn't going to accept your site unless you are serious webmaster and if you don't have a domain they won't accept you
 
well its just a way to cut down affiliates that would just be wasting their time being most people with subs don't get enough hits they require anyway.
 
You can run a perfectly good site off of a subdomain...

Some people just don't have the money to get a domain. x.x;
 
Yeah, I use to have a subdomain, and the site ran fine. But now i have my own server and i can get cheap domains i don't bother with subdomains. But i'm always willing to help the young up-coming webbie of Pokemon ^^.

LOL @ Kairi, yes everyone has there day on the webmaster discussion. Also, yeah bandwidth is expensive but i'm paying alot for my server and sites but i still have absolutly NO ADDS ^^. I just can't ignore my members when they ask for them off.

Plus, if i ever become money crazy, remind me that i may turn out like Sean X_X
 
I don't know why anyone would want ads on their site unless they pay a lot of money for it or something... and who's Sean, Simone?
 
And if you're on free hosting... then having google ads would be like a sin... -.-

Yeah, it's hard to find a host with no ads, and then once you do, you put ads on there yourself? That just doesn't make sence.

Why is the apcc evil? I always thought it was a pretty cool site...
 
well actually google ads are quite nice i would prefer them over any other type of ad if i was hosted for free, b/c u can customize 'em and they get content based on your site.
 
I don't need the money generated by ads... But, it's nice to have it. i just bought a new 512MB RAM stick thanks to google.
you know.. a lot of the ads are focused on the sites topics, especially the google ones as they use their search technology to target ads. I (PPN) use ads to provide (mostly) items and/or services i think my visitors would be interested in (such as vidio games or pokemon/yugioh cards) and make a few bux for the site (we call it commission)
Yes at times the ads can annoy but they do indeed pay (last google check: $175.00 and last 'other' check: $35.00) this money really helps keep the site up and the products advertised, hopefully, are what ur looking for.

i've though many times about removing the ads.. but in the end.. i end up leaving them (and now have redesigned my layout to fit google in better) cause they do pay.. mostly. Maybe i'll remove some of the others.. dunno.. i try to make em as un-envasive as i can bottom of sidebars/page, etc.
 
In the long run, I love google, I have other programs that i earn money from but google is the best, but one bad thing it don't have a referal program, that little ads by google link doesn't get ya squat! On the other hand I have lots of referals for other programs so I make money without even having my ads up on my site. Heh it would be cool to refer google to an affiliate program, get 5 percent of like a million a day, that is a nice little chunk.

Loads of google ads. He used to have pop-ups too, which were said to give viruses to some computers.
 
If u have popups be considerate make them come up like 2 miniutes after u visit the site "so the site is fully loaded" and say make a new popup come up every 10 miniutes, better than one on every page. Most popup affiliate programs have that option.

they accept you with a .tk domain , i as goint to sign up and they say yes but my mom didn't let me put my security number.
 
That's kinda sad if they'll accept a .tk domain but not a subdomain. -_-
 
a .tk is considered a domain name
