They wouldn't accept my free .tk, but they would accept a paid .tk. *clenches fist and grits teeth* I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY YOU ARE NOT A SERIOUS WEBMASTER JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T OWN A DOMAIN NAME OR PAID HOSTING!!!!! They say things like that all the time, and never stop to think how it might hurt you!!!
 
Hmmm, JA maybe you should buy like ryux.net or something and then put all your sites under it. ^^;
 
Yes, I wanted to but my parents don't let me spend money online, so I can't. SO NOW EVERYONE INSULTS ME BY IMPLYING THAT I AM NOT A SERIOUS WEBMASTER JUST BECAUSE I HAVE STRICT PARENTS!!!! AND IT'S HAPPENED BEFORE! IT'S BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS!

Sorry, that's just one issue that REALLY gets me worked up... you have no idea how many people have criticised me for not owning a domain name. IIRC, it was the original cause of tension between me and Simone...

LOL, I don't want you to register it for me... I'll just wait a couple of years and then force my hand a bit XD. And yes, it was not obvious but there was some tension.
 
Why not use a uni.cc domain name? They're free, and they allow you to use DNS.

If Google doesn't accept you, then I'd go for Clicksor. They're just like Google ads, but you can use them if you're a minor (you require parental permission). They're based in Canada, so they don't require Social Securety Numbers, or anything of that sort. I don't think that they require you to have a big site either; it just has to be appropriate. Clicksor also gives you five dollars whenever another webmaster is referred to Clicksor (and if they use it): they click the Clicksor link on the ads and sign up to put ads on their site. I think that's a pretty good deal.

Those USB storage devices are great, aren't they? You can bring files, programs, et cetera with you. And you can use it nearly anywhere without installing drivers, unless you use an OS that belongs in a museum.

uni.cc domain name free where?? one that includes dns..
 
uni.cc domains do everything a real domain does. ^.^;

But I dunno what the site is... I forget. :P
 
I tried uni.cc for a science project, but after a week the DNS hadn't updated so I gave up on it. Thanks for the Clicksor tip, I'll try that...
 
If you don't set the name-servers correctly, then it won't work. That's probably what happened. It's worked fine for me. Now, if I could only find a better host...
 
I set the nameservers according to my host, but it still didn't work o_O. I did check a few times. And maybe Simone would host your site.
 
What I'm looking for is high bandwidth, and more importantly, uptime. I'm patient, though, so I'll keep looking.
 
Try Simone, she has a really good server.

And JA, did you make sure your host set up your account to allow the domain?
 
Yes, I set up the account using the domain. It doesn't really matter now, I had to use Tripod UK for the project instead as I coded it in PHP.

And Clicksor's problem is that my parents aren't going to fax to Canada... but they did say that I could register in their name.
