Adult Swim to switch to subs

    A few nights ago, Adult Swim stated that it would be switching to subs because so many people were complaining about the voice actors.
    I personally think this is better than dubs, your thoughts?
     
    Wow, if this turns out to be true I'll really sit down to watch Animé on Adult Swim.

    Not really. Cause I have a season pass for Bleach and I like the dub better than the sub.
     
    So does this mean they'll stop the cruel raep on Code Geass?

    I usually prefer subs to dubs, but I actually thought that the dub of Cowboy Bebop was better than the original. The actors were simply amazing, and the atmosphere of the show sort of lends itself to American English.
     
    Honestly, I would prefer it if this turned out to be as true as that "Funimation One Piece on Adult Swim" announcement a few months back. I actually enjoy the dubs they have, and yes, I have also heard the original voices. In my opinion, Bleach dub voices are considerably superior to the originals (*points at Rukia*) and I am personally looking forward to the dub version of Death Note's final episode, for reasons that viewers of the original should be able to figure out and I will keep quiet on to prevent spoiling it for others.

    As for Code Geass...well, I did not notice anything horribly wrong with it, but nor have I heard as much of the original voices as some others may have, so I will not say anything further on that.
     
    This doesn't necessarily affect me because I can't even get the channel, but that's disappointing to hear. I hope YTV and the like don't follow suit and start displaying their anime with subtitles. I like dubs; it's the only reason I'll watch anime on TV. :/
     
    Ugh. I saw the commercial and began praying they will not do this. I think the Code Geass dub is just fine, as well as many of the other anime on Adult Swim. I don't want them to do this. D:
     
    I REALLY hope this is true, that show is NOT Code Geass they are showing on Adult Swim. That ISN'T the BLEACH I know. I'm sorry I mean like I can bare it if it's not true, but I mean I really hope this is what is gonan happen.
     
    I don't know how I didn't notice this... since I just watched Adult Swim last night. But, this is great ^.^ A lot of English voice actors suck (Namely Light Yagami's...)
     
    Huh, I don't have a problem with this, but there are some animes I cannot stand with English voices, such as Death Note and Code Geass. I guess it would be alright, I mean like I said, I have no problem with that.

    I would much rather enjoy the TV show then waste time trying read the subtitles and know whats going on. And most times, the orginal isn't even good ._.;

    If this is true, it is the best decision they have made in YEARS and proves they might actually give a dam about anime. Nothing against dubs, some are good, but I'm a sub man myself.

    I hope they include Naruto and Pokemon. I would start watching both then.
     
    I think it is kinda stupid because, while yes I prefer subs over dubs, I can watch subs on the computer and it is nice to hear other voice acting while watching on the TV. And some are even good. i.e. Cowboy Bebop. And whoever posted about that Death Note ep, makes me want to watch cause I've never watched the anime, only read the manga till I got creeped out by it and had to stop.
     
    To be fair there are some good dubs, like FMA. I guess in reality it doesn't really matter, it's just I don't want things to get lost in translation like things often do.
     
    I hope this isn't true. Sometimes I am online and really I can't pry my eyes to watch the TV so I listen to the voices to find out what is going on. If it sounds really important then I will watch it but really I just wait to later to see it. (Since I am recording it too).

    Still I perfer to watch it dub since reallyI like the dubs better then subs. If I wanted to watch it subbed then I go on YouTube but really why do that since it is dubbed. All the dubbed stuff is great expectually on Adult Swim.
     
    People actually believed this? Come on, Adult Swim is known for its sarcastic and odd commercials. This is the network that once ran a disclaimer saying they wouldn't edit out the extreme violence in their anime because they're "American Cowboys".
     
    I hope they don't. There is nothing wrong with Dubs. Besides, once they do that then they'll have people complain because they want dubs so either way its not going to make things better.

    To be honst, at least Adult Swim doesn't rip the anime apart and delete have of the episode like what 4kids would do. I'd be really mad if they did this because Adult Swim is now the only station that ever shows Anime, dub or not.

    And Jorfe has a point but still I doesnt seem like something they'd joke about. D:

    That's a great point, but half the time those sarcastic commericals are actual truth in what they are doing.
     
    Yeah really. Still, either way Adult Swim isnt going to win over this because once they start showing the subs, people will complain because they want the dubs.

    Adult Swim is an American channel. Not a Japan Channel, either get used to watching dubbed anime or don't watch it at all. Simple as that.
