Adult Swim's April Fools Day

I just hope that I wasn't the only one who saw Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG last night, because they were both hilarious. From what I can conclude:

- The reason why Batou's optical camouflage doesn't work in front of dogs is because said dogs smell his farts. Perhaps the blind girl could smell his farts as well...
- Farting wheelchairs and statues = comical genius
- Everyone in Lior, especially Rose and Cornello, has a problem with gas.
- Cornello's parrot thingy suffers from violent diarrhea.
- The serpent in Cornello's dream farts instead of hisses.
- Transmutations cause flatulence.

I was pissed when they replaced Inuyasha, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop with American cartoons, however. Fart jokes would have gone perfectly in Inuyasha, while they would've made for a nice bit of irony in Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop.

oh EVA has some more screwed up stuff than fart jokes could supply....^_^;;

but yeah I did happen to catch some of these in between the F1 race good stuff.

Ah, I see. No wonder I kept hearing a farting sound on the TV @___@; Everytime I heard it, I turned to the TV and went, WTF? It was kinda disturbing, but I guess it was funnier if I actually watched it instead of going online XP but I was pretty mad when they didn't show InuYasha either, it was totally screwed up. >___<;

When I saw G.I.T.S, I thought it was supposed to be part of the episode or something. I'm not very familiar with that show. However, I knew they weren't supposed to be in FMA. I thought it was kind of stupid at first, but the scene with Rose's boyfriend was pretty funny XP. From what others have told me, the noises were acknowledged in the closed captions for the shows too. I'm glad they replayed the shows without the sound effects though.

Edit: Some people have said that AS does things like this every year, and one year they drew moustaches on everyone. I wish I'd seen that, haha!

I don't know whether I'm glad or disappointed to have missed this; [as] has enough low-brow humor as it is, but, despite this, it seems like they were merely trying to be genuinely amusing rather than do anything that plays upon their disdain for anime. I admit to probably having laughed at it all; I'm not entirely unamused by that sort of joke, and, if the list that Jack provided was as craftily-done as it sounds to me, I feel that I would have enjoyed it.

But taking off Inuyasha, Evangelion, and Bebop? Inexcusable o_o;

^^^ This is true...Eva and Bebop at the very least ;_; I have to have that weekly fix, jazz soothes the soul ;)

Ah and kudos points to Chairman Kaga, for having the name of the great overseer of Kitchen Stadium. Iron Chef fans are not in abundence anymore.

I only managed to catch the FMA episode. At first I thought it was rather pathetic...but I actually found it to be quite funny about half way through the episode. XD Not sure how much I enjoy them defiling FMA...oh well, at least it hadn't been a new episode or something. XD

Yeah I had Inu saved on my TV but it was something totally stupid then I waited for FMA and almost died laughing. I was going to tape it but I forgot to

i couldn't stand the farting thing!!! maybe i really do hate anime being messed with... but then again i hadn't seen that episode of Ghost in a shell... i was so mad that they didn't show InuYasha! i was waiting for that show!

OMG! Yes! That was HILARIOUS! Except that they screwed up Inuyasha, EVA, and others with those weird cartoons. I was so mad when I didn't get to watch EVA.
