I added a new map and everything works fine in the app but when I launch it on VBA it freezes when I try to enter the new map that works fine on advanced map

Make sure you import the map, map footer, etc. at an offset that ends with 0x0, 0x4, 0x8 or 0xC. That might help.
If not, post a screenshot or gif of your problem and settings in AdvanceMap. That way people might actually be able to help. A freeze can be caused by a lot of things.

I didn't import a map, I inserted a brand new map that had no data so that I could create a map

Didn't AdvanceMap ask where you wanted to import your map?

Okay, that makes more sense, I imported it to pallet town and it has the map 4 bank 4, I can show pics later but what specifically would help?
