Advice on advertising

I have jessem.elixant.com, so that's not too big.

And there are free redirectors out there without ads... you just gotta find 'em.
DotTK has pop-ups, but you have the option to disable them if you don't want it, like mine.

I don't see what all the fuss is about domains anyway, I never have. Remember that my Digimon site is Australia's most popular, and one of the most popular full stop, and we only have a .TK. But for some reason the popup doesn't show XD

yeah your right. But i'm sure if you just pay your parents $8 and ask if you can buy a domain.. they would say yes. But i know my parents were at first very hesitent to use there credit card on the internet. But its very safe ^^"

I've been begging over a year for a domain and the only way I managed to get PV was by using the Paypal account without their knowing...

As far as they know, someone "gave" me PV.

*sigh* I don't know how many times I've had to point this out... SOME people have restrictive parents. SOME people aren't allowed to spend their money. ESPECIALLY online.

Contents are what ultimately get people to your site. While domain might gives your site that professional feel, nothing beat contents.

KyleTech, Ltd. is now offering free advertising to promising sites. Please allow me to extend this idea to you. im me if you are interested.

True. Like me. (I'm supposed to be grounded as of now but I sneaked and used the comp =P)
And webhosting in Singapore is not absolutely trustworthy, I don't know (heard of it somewhere).

Please read the new rule. =/

I think that's slightly different, Greggy. Kyle, I assume that means that you will allow people to advertise on your site for free?

I think I'll be getting a domain name pretty soon, my site was down for nearly 48 hours a couple of days ago because I am currently on a subdomain of my host and the DNS pulled the plug on it

Anyway, I also beleive that good content and fun features attract people to a website too. Which is why I've just added a feature that allows members to have their own garden. They can furnish this garden with whatever they want to buy from the shops and chose where they want to place it. Depending on the sort of item you go for, you could end up attracting wild Pok?mon to capture or attract visitors who may donate money to you if they like your garden! There's a lot of depth to it, but I won't go into it, if you're interested, check out my website (link in sig), though you need to be logged in and a registered member to be able to use it.

The DNS pulled the plug on it? DNS = Domain Name System.. DNS is what makes a domain or HOst site run.. not the hostee. You probably mean your Host pulled the plug on it.

Also, if your going to buy a domain, you will have to think about where to get the hosting from etc.. its a bit of work.. but its alot of fun ^)^

I know what I mean  No, I do mean the DNS. They pulled the plugged on it, which is why no-one could access it. The files and such were fine, it had nothing to do with my host
