Aerodactyl

I just looked at Aerodactyl on Marriland and I thought it would have 3 weaknesses but it has 5. I don't see how rock or electricity could be super effective though. I need something that covers these weaknesses.

The attacks I have atm are pretty useless, but it is level 1..

    I plan to teach it:

    Flamethrower
    Thunder Fang
    Earthquake
    Stealth Rock

    How could I improve this?

Try replacing Flamethrower with Stone Edge. If you REALLY need a Fire attack, Fire Fang. Aerodactyl's sp.atk is far too low to try Flamethrower

Every Pokemon has a weakness, some more than others, but Aerodactyl is definitely worth keeping because it has very high attack and speed. This is what I use:

    Jolly Aerodactyl@Focus Band
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Defense
    Aerial Ace
    Crunch
    Earthquake
    Stone Edge

After 20 eggs I still didn't have a jolly Aerodactyl, so I had to settle with naive. I hope that doesn't affect it too much.

It knows pressure, but where do I get focus band from?

Do not use focus Band its a Hax item, meaning its banned, if you really want Focus Sash > Focus Band

Ok where do I get that then??

And I just bought 10 carbos for Aerodactyl and he won't take any. Why??

Because he has over 100 EV in speed, or whatever carbos gives. You get Focus Sash near the Pal Park. There is a house on that little island, and the man will ask to ser a poke at a certain lvl.

Looks like its EV are messed up if you battled random pokemon.

Also if you partially EV trained it first. Carbos must be applied BEFORE ev training.

Focus Sash is obtained on route 221 (Pal Park route) theres a guy in a hut near the water, he asks for a pokemon of a certain level each day, on the first day if you show him the level he requests, he gives a Blckbelt, on the second day he gives an expert belt and on the third day he gives focus sash.

I've only been fighting Starleys and Staravias..

Is it important to add the carbos first? Should I start again?

Only if you were recording. Carbos & all vitamins can only bring EV's to 100. If you are past 100, they have no use. However, if you didn't record, then you have no idea how many EV it has, which is bad. In that case, you must start over.

By record, I mean tto write down all ev's your getting. Write em' down.

Well its not important but it does help you as it makes ev training much quicker (1 Carbos = 10 EVs, so 10 carbos = 100 EVS)

Just remember next time if you want to give it drugs ,do it Before you start battling pokemon, because after the drugs you only have to do 152 more evs yourself.

Anways, as long as youve kept track of the EV 's you should be fine, as you can do it all yourself.

Exactly. If ya don't keep track, you must start over.

    I'll have to start again.

Atleast I can try and get a jolly Aerodactyl this time..

So I need to record which pokemon I killed and how many of them?

Each Pokemon gives out EV's of a certain stat, if you want to EV train in speed, you can go to Victory Road and surf and battle tons of G0lbat, which give you 2 speed EV's.

How will I know when they are maxed out though?

I got a jolly Aerodactyl with pressure =)

But I didn't get focus sash from that guy.. He wanted to see a level 68 if it makes a difference..

My Aerodactyl is used for Stealth Rock in the beginning, or avoiding Dugtrio traps.

    Aerodactyl
    EV's: 252ATK/252SPD
    Nature: Jolly
    Item: Focus Sash
    Moves:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Crunch
    -Earthquake
    -Stone Edge

I have killed 35 Starlys and I have used 10 calciums, I haven't killed anything else except the Starlys and I started at level 1.

How many speed EVs do I have??

    How about:
    Aerodactyl-Life Orb
    Rock Head
    Jolly
    Evs:252 ATTK/252 SPD
    -Stone Edge
    -Double Edge
    -Thunder Fang/Fire Fang
    -Aerial Ace/Earthquake

With Rock Head no recoil damage is recieved.

But, STABBED Stone Edge is more Powerful, and Double-Edge gives no Type Coverage at all. Stone Edge is not very effective on Steel, which Earthquake covers. If its Skarmory, you will use Stone Edge, because Fire Fang is weaker on Skarm then Stabbed Stone Edge.

Stone Edge is there.Duble Edge could work, alot of people expect common set so I made one not so common or is it(Seriously)?
