Hello, call me "Qlu" or "Q" or "00Q."
Bless your face if you know that last one.

Philippines. 20 Years old. Artist. Ex-Programmer. Full Time Antagonist.

I'm half-Japanese and half-Filipino and, no, I don't speak Japanese, watch anime, or read manga.

English isn't my first language, but I speak English better than I do Filipino. Whoops?

I'm an Animation student who used to be a Game Design and Development student.

    omg. why???
    Spoiler:

I'm officially starting my Animation student life this term, so don't ask me for any of my animation work because I have none to show you yet.

I have art over here: [ tumbluuur ]
I also write stories, which if you're particularly Sherlock-y, you will find. Somehow. Don't tell me about it.

I haven't actually sat down to draw in a month or so, which is a bad bad thing for me to have done. I regret it. A lot. Except I don't really (not yet, anyway), but don't tell my art teachers, they will bleed me.

What was I doing for months anyway???
    Spoiler:

A lot of people think I'm scary at first glance and because of this I have very little friends offline. If you ask me, it's because I never engage in idle chatter and my eyes are rather slanted and can look 'unamused/angry' when I'm not actively smiling.

I'm not going to smile, mom. Not until I have a reason other than to look 'friendly.'
    Spoiler:

And that's about all I can think of putting. I don't actually want to make this any longer and more boring than it already is. So in case I haven't said it yet, hi!

Hi Qlu. So, I'll ask the first and most obvious question in my eyes. :p Why not post a gallery in A&D? You're very talented, although I didn't see much of your work. Okay that's the only time I'll do any section plugging, I promise.

What games, other than Pokemon, do you play?

What inspired you, if anything, to go from game design & development to animation?

It actually took me a moment to realize you meant the art and design forum on PC rather than deviant art. haha

Well, I was thinking of it, but I want to wait a bit until I have something more relevant and Pokemon related to post first. And thanks.

I also play an embarrassing amount of games like my friend likes to say, "What games don't you like?" (hint: Sims City anything.)

I will just mention the games I still play rather than reciting the huge list I actually have (Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age soon-to-be-a-trilogy...). Who am I kidding? I still have a large list considering I'm animation student with a need to draw 24/7.

I still play Dota 2, Assassin's Creed II (I play it very slowly), Far Cry 3, Civlization 5 (I actually rather dislike this game), The Stanley Parable, Witcher (and soon Witcher II; friend gifted both copies to me last Christmas), Don't Starve, The Walking Dead series, Dead Island: Riptide, Machinarium, Lone Survivor... uh, yeah.

As for why I chose Animation over Game Development, well, there's just something about making my characters come to life that I knew I wouldn't be able to master if I continued the game dev. program. It's also game dev's fault that they shoved all these basic animation subjects at me that I seriously enjoyed.
