So, I'm Monstarules. I've played pokemon since Gen I, and I loved it up to Gen III. Gen IV was ok, and anything past it, was kind of...well, I'm a fan of the older versions. I've always wanted to make a pokemon rom, and I'm thinking I could use some help. So, I read up and came here. Oh, I'm an excellent spriter. Now, my sprites aren't really pokemon based, but more along the lines of metal slug custom art. I came to see if I can enlist some help in making a rom. But before that, I'm going to make a plan, and if I can learn how to do this (right, and EFFICIENTLY) I'll ask for some help. Can anyone here link me to some tutorials? I've got the stuff and a general idea on how i ts used, but I'd like some expert advice.

And I shall be the first to welcome! Nice to meet you, Monstarules!

Sadly, I don't really know much in the ROM hacking field but you'll definitely be interested in PC's own Emulation & ROM Hacking board which has everything you need when it comes to hacks. It's a really popular section so I'm confident you'll get the help you need. Good luck with your project, and I hope to see it one day.

Anyways, I'm sure you'll settle in really well and make new friends along the way. The staff are always on hand if you need assistance, so don't hesitate to ask any of them. I do hope to see you around PC, and enjoy your stay. Have fun and take care, Monstarules!

Ahoy there to you too, bud! Welcome to the forums! I appreciate you playing since Gen I as well, since, we've all did, and hey, it'll be more common ground between us, hehe. Oh, if you haven't you should definitely try out pokemon X&Y. They're actually way up there in terms of pokemon games, in my opinion! :3

At any rate, mmm, ROM Hacking does seem like pretty cool, and you know, don't give up! I'm sure with good practice, you'll create one soon! But yes, do head on over to the Emulation & ROM Hacking board if you want to check out some of the ROM Hacks there, as well as some of the tutorials, guides, and resources to help you get started! And don't be shy on asking for help! You'll definitely get it - everyone here is always willing to provide a helping hand. :]

So good luck, and it's great to have you here! Cheers, and ahve fun! Let us know if you have any questions or concerns about the forums in general, mmkay? <33
