...when do yout think Pok?mon will reach its end?

Over the past years I thought Pok?mon was slowing down but now I realize it is just gaining more and more momentum. I think it will go for another good 5 to 7 years then fade out slowly.

That could be true. Pokemon is gaining more land here among the younger ages. Which makes me feel a bit old about this. Pokemon will go on for at least 10 more years. We will know when Pokemon is dieing when this site starts going down in memebers.

i believe that pokemon is still doing well but as the years go by pokemon will become less and less popular because the people that were born when pokemon came out will be older and will no longer like pokemon and the children that were born after pokemon will like newer animes and card games rather than pokemon.

Well, pokemon is a franchise that may never die. it could be a long while before it reaches its' end.

I don't think it will die, but will instead go down as a classic that never really dies. Just look at the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise; it's been 15 years and is still going strong despite apparenty dying a few times (the late 1990's come to mind), and has really gone down as a true classic.

I'm sure it will die, as no one is going to go through 751 pokemon. But they can at least make it more interesting in the process.

    *nods*
Agreed. That has been the issue with Sonic the Hedgehog and to be honest even though Pok?mon has well slowed down in terms of popularity there are still plenty of Pok?fans out there who refuse to let it die. I think Pok?mon will go down as a classic.

I'm not a Poke'mon fan myself, anymore anyways. At these rates, it will surely go down. However, it won't completly die. It's been on for a while, and what I'm thinking is that it'll just go down as a classic. Like Ping-pong, Pacman, Sonic the Hedgehog and all that good stuff. There's plenty of Poke'mon fans, apparently, to keep it breathin'.

You know Pokemon is gonna die when Ash's Pikachu evolves to Raichu.;)
It may also mean that Nintendo is going out of business.:P

I wish It dies soon, and yes, I am a pokemon fan ?? Its because it will become over-rated and will start to suck more...eek, but it will go down as one of the best Classics EVER!

Ah yes, it will die. Sooner or later, it will.
Notice how some people are still fans of the NES, even though it is... well... old.
Pok?mon will die one day, even with some fans or not. If you neglect that, it's because you can't see new "fads" are coming.

I can see it never really die-ing...I'll be talking to my great grandchildren about the newest episode! XD I mean, in Japan the battle frontier season started a little while ago...and, arn't there games coming out for the ds? It'll be something like Final Fantasy, it just doesn't die XD and if it lives, that's awesome cause It makes me feel important that I was there when it started...hah...eh..

I personally think they should have at least a couple more "seasons" and new characters. They should just complete the 4th generation of Pokemon, and then keep all the Pokemon. I hope they will release Pokemon Diaomnd and Pearl on GameBoy SP.

It will die, but we would remember all the moments we had playing, watching, reading, or anything we did with pokemon.

Yeah, a lot of people would miss it, but you konw they would play reruns forever, I mean do you know how long ago that DBZ endend and they are still playing reruns.

Pkmn ain't ganna die, ever. Yeah, it'll "settle down", but it'll neer die. It has earned its place up there with tha most memorable of all cartoons/animes ever, tch, an' will still be around, even 50 years after it's stopped bein' as popular as it has so far. And who knows, many years after no more eps an' movies come out somebody might revive the anime... ah, wouldn't I wanna be tha one ta do it... there's SOOOO much I could add ta it... ... ...then again, maybe not. Lol, it'd probably become R-rated. XD

Lol, yeah, tch, some things I do with pkmn ain't never ganna end. And as long as that's ganna be so, nothing's ganna take pkmn away from me, ever! ^__________^

I think if Pokemon was going to die, would have already. No, now, it's a niche, no longer the insane popular as it was in 99-00. It's muted underground and if you look around, you'll see the fanbase. With spikes in popularity now and then (R/S) and then back to business.

So yeah, and Japan is still cranking all that out, so the demand is still there. Our ride ended at 01, but we're still going strong. It's not as overwhelming but it's there. There is certainly enough of an intellectual interest to pique interest and want to know more.

So yeah, it's hit cult favorite status. How about that?

Oh yeah, Deviru, I just played my NES a few nights ago in a bender. Best game system ever as far as I'm concerned. Hee.
