[Scripting Question] allowing to fight a double battle(both wild and vs trainer) with a single pokemon

    I want to make double battles possible even with only 1 pokemon in the party, what should i edit to make it possible?

    No edits because it's not possible without a major rewrite of Essentials v17. I suggest you wait until Essentials v18 comes out as it's gonna have a 1v2 feature along with 2v3 and 1v3 and any other permutation of 1,2,3 you can think of.
