    Kind of a dumb question but if mewtwo is made up of mews DNA...should mewtwo be #151 and mew be #150?
     
    The reason for this is, in RBY's time few knew of Mew. If they had left a gap between 149 and 151 then people would have known of the extra Pok?mon.
     
    hmmm...i allways knew about him when rby first came out,but then again i was still a webmaster back then and had to know everything,lol
     
    Yeah, but Nintendo was primarily concerned with the crazed kids who liked the fad, and how big of an impact Mew would make.
     
    Wasn't the description for Mewtwo even in the earliest Pokemon games along the line that Mewtwo was a tampered version of a resirructed (sp?) Mew?
