I think they used their flame to light up if they can't see in the dark.

Mine is: They could make a widdle dragon toy and put it in a play and then as teh dragon goes to breathe fire, Widdle Cyndaquil can put teh fire to make it look like teh dragon is breathing fire^^
Yeah teh topic should last half a day at least =3

Cyndaquil can use his to help him hide in hide and seek because he can hide between logs in a fireplace and then send his flame up and make it look like its a normal fireplace well... something like that.

What could Typhlosion/pre-evos use the fire on their back for, other than battle?
Well, as a sign of loyalty for their trainer and as naturally kind and caring pokemon, they could use it for a variety of purposes, such as lighting fires for trainers in danger of cold weather~ Also, they could make fire to roast marshmallows on ^^ They could also, of course, use it to boil water, use it as a warning or help sign, and even to light up caves, as Rene said. Phew :)

... *cough* -_-;; Anyways~~~ I think the most common uses would be when a trainer stumbles in a cave and needs light, or gets cold and needs warmth so asks Typhlosion/pre-evos~

So my answer is in winter it must be really cold so Typhlosion/Pre evos could warm themselves by using their flames and if they were like lost that would be good too bad it doesn't provide food too...lolz.

I think an interesting way is to get a magical pokeball that humans can go in and Cyndaquil can battle with teh human while Swablu can be it's cheer squad..A little unual..I know..
& Where exactly on that page is teh pic meant to be??

*pants* OMG! I'm finally here!!!
Busy like usual ^^ Oh and guess what (BTW I don't really want you to guess ^^)?! I've been playing Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon a lot and...I came across a couple of Swablus...of course I fainted most of them..but one of the m asked if they could be in teh rescue squad!! So yeah I took some snapshots of it ^^ Wanna see? (Either way I think you'd see them ^^)

Although probably not even possible in the Pokemon world uh~
Maybe Swablu & Cyndaquil & I can ride on a little cloud and float around xD ^^ If da clouds too slow we can make Cyndaquil blow some fire at the back to make the cloud faster..(if thats not possible don't blame me ^^) and yeah ^^
