ORAS confirmed Alternate Timeline between Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald.
What influence does it has on Anime ?

---On DP , Wallace confirmed to be the E4 Champion in Hoenn .

---On XY , Steven is confirmed to be the E4 champion of Hoenn . Mega Evolution Special is canon in TV Series since Manon mention Ash .

Hmm , I guess the best part is that there might be an Alternate May for Ash.
May is by far the cutest Pokegirl to me But I lose all hope for Advanceshipping thank to Drew.
But now that there is a possibility of an Alternate May with No Drew gives me hope about Advenceshipping.

game timelines literally do not matter at all to the anime bc the anime is a completely alternate universe

Too bad the writers right now seem to be trying to make them the same, what with making darn sure Ash cannot deviate from the game route of gym battling (heck, DP alone made the indents in Ash's badge case obvious that his choices were limited, and despite what Palmer said, he definitely doesn't have a choice but to go to Sunyshore City to get his final badge.), or making Ash into a total idiot in BW just to follow heavily with the fresh restart of Generation V, or stuff like that. They even incorporated the four move limit recently despite it not even being needed.

that doesn't at all mean that the game universe is the same as the anime
it means the anime follows it somewhat
and def doesn't mean that split timelines are going to alter the anime

Problem is, if you say they literally don't matter, that implies complete and total separation.

And either way, right now the anime universe is following the games a bit too closely (did they really need to implement the four move method, or make Ash an idiot, or basically make the badge route pre-set? Kanto and even Johto did fine without following the games to that amount of detail.)

I don't understand this. It's obvious watching XY that it's as in the same timeline as the other five shows. "Road to Kalos" has clips from all the other series, the first XY episode picks off right where the last BW episode ended, with Satoshi arriving in the Kalos region with Pansy, and Satoshi even briefly references Hikari's Pochama during another episode. I'm not sure what the situation with ORAS is (just started playing Alpha Sapphire today), but the anime canon has remained the same.

BW also happened to have Ash battle Roxie for his last gym badge instead of Drayden because of BW2 and had Cameron battle the last gym leader of BW2 to showcase him. And then had Cheren appear in an anime to showcase him later. They made have implemented some mechanics from the games (four moves) and other things, but there is still plenty of variation (what I mentioned before, will-o-wisp not burning the opponent is another one I noticed recently). So until they mention anything I don't think we should really be considering an alternate timeline of some sort.

At least not in the universe we are watching Ash go through his journey now. However your alternate timeline could be in one of the many mirrors in the cave haha. But let's be real screwing with the canon would probably just make people furious and they reaaally don't need be doing that right now do they.
