4th Gen Alternatives to GTS Cloning

I am against cloning all together, what makes a pokemon rare or special is the fact that their is only 1 like it. If you clone pokemon, the whole thrill of trading pokemon goes down the toilet.
I am not saying that people who clone pokemon are cheaters or something, I just find the game more fun because I dont.
 
what ever happened to the good old blue/red cloning procedure, it was easy and simple, now we have wi-fi and GTS thrown into it
