Amazing Combo

Hey i'm just a noob and this is my first thread, so please go easy on me
just when i'm playing pokemon platinum, i found an amazing combo that can
inflict damage to opponent's monster continously until PP is all gone and only can be Counter attacked by First move-Skill (eg Quick attack, Shadow Sneak)
the combo is
Stealth Rock + Roar (must a very fast pokemon such as jolteon)

what do you think about the combo,and stealth rock is a rock move which not have a type that immune to it so it guaranteed will deal damage

i think it's nice (only works if your opponent have 2 or more pokemon though)
and the only way to counter it i think
-First move Skill such a Quick attack and Shadow Sneak
i dont know if protect or detect can repel roar, if it can then it's can repel this combo

Yes, this is a well-known strategy. You do realize Roar has -6 priority, meaning it always goes last. So the speed of the pokemon using it doesn't matter in this sense.

Anyway, if you're new you should probably read through the rules and this announcement. You'll find you can simply use the Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A thread for stuff like this instead of making a new thread.
