Danny gives his pokemon to Nurse Joy, he sits on the couch and rubs his eyes.

"I am so tired," Danny yawned and waited for his pokemon and the room.
 
She nodded, leaning against the wall. "Yep..."

Nurse Joy handed them a key with a room number printed on it. "Here you are"
 
Danny began to walk towards the door, "I wonder what ever happened to that lady..."

Danny waited for Lana to open the door.
 
Lana walks over to the door to their room, unlocking it. She walks in, flipping the light switch on. "So tired..."
 
Danny fell onto the bed and went into a deep sleep.

'Why are we so tired?' He mumbled in his sleep trying to think up the answer.
 
She fell onto the bed, falling asleep before she even hit the pillow. She was dead tired...
 
In the morning Danny woke up refreshed. He left the room and went to clean himself up. After finishing he walked to the reception room to wait for Lana.
 
Nurse Joy walks over to him, holding out a bag of pokeballs. "Here are your pokemon...yours and your friend's. I hope you had a good night's sleep sir."
 
Danny gratefully got the bag of pokeballs and smiled, "Yes I did, thank you."

Danny looked around the Pokemon Center waiting for Lana. Leoni came out of her pokeball wanting to play with Danny.
 
The girl finally emerged, showered and dressed and ready to go. She returned the key to Nurse Joy then walked over to Danny. "Ready?"
 
Danny handed her the pokeballs, "Yeah I am ready to battle this gym leader."
 
She nods, accepting the pokeballs. "I'm ready too. Lets go!" She runs out the door, throwing a pokeball to the floor. "Raichu, come on out!"

The pokemon appeared, then the ball returned to Lana's hand.
 
Danny and Leoni run out of the Pokemon Center following Lana and Raichu.

"Finally I will know who this so called gym leader is..."

"Me too..I'm curious.." She walked into the gym, glancing around. "Anyone here?"

"I am. Looking for a battle?" A voice called from another room. She walked in, spinning a pokeball on her finger. It was Professor Lily. She smiled. "Hello there."

Lana's eyes widen slightly. "Professor Lily! You're the gym leader?"
 
Danny squinted, "I knew it! I had a suspicion that you might be the gym leader."
 
Lily smiles. "Did you now? Well you were right! Which one of you shall go first?"
 
Danny looked at Lana, "I do not really care who goes first. As long as we both battle you."
 
She nods. "Fine then. Professor Lily, I challenge you to a pokemon battle!"

The professor nodded. "I accept your challenge. Two pokemon battle. Let's do it!"

The two took their places on the opposite sides of the gym. A ref took his spot on the sidelines. "This battle is between Lana Ketchum of Pallet Town and Professor Lily of Honba! Let the duel begin!"

Lana nodded, throwing a pokeball. "Spikapine, I choose you!" The pokemon appeared, lowering its head, ready for battle.

Lily nods, then throws a pokeball. "Togetic, lets do it!" The pokemon appeared, hovering in the air.
 
Danny looked at the Togetic, "Wow, you don't see those everyday. Be careful Lana! That one looks as if it has been raised very well!"
 
She nodded. "Right. Spikapine, use tackle!" The grass pokemon jumped into action, running towards the flying pokemon.

"Togetic! Metronome, now!" Togetic's paws glowed red, and after a moment Togetic shot a spark of fire at Spikapine. The grass pokemon stopped immediatly, jumping back. Lana went wide-eyed. "That metronome was an ember attack! Stay on your toes Spikapine!"
