I can get what you mean here, since I know I saw some fanart that heavily compared Serena's current short hair in the anime to the S/M female protagonist, and her blonde hair option also looks really close to Serena's own hair colour so I can see where you're making the comparisons.

Still don't think Serena will be following Ash to Alola though.
 
Well how else is game freak supposed to style their base design? It's still not fully-customizeable with their eyes and faces at the moment (probably won't ever due to too much customization and not enough game), but seriously, once you start to get to customize the character they'll won't really look like Ash/Serena. + all Pokémon characters all have the same features, like same eyes, same figure, etc.

This look like a desperate thread made by a desperate Amourshipper that has nothing to do with Pokemon Sun and Moon.
The male protagonist look nothing like Ash , he look like Celem.
In fact , I prefer if Ash doesn't have any more Blondie since he already has 3 of them.

I prefer that Girl with Brown hair since she look Hawaii-native and has BETTER SKIN-TONE .
Also , Serena has Honey colored hair But S&M protagonist has Complete Blond hair like Clemont.
 
I think them looking like Ash and Serena are just kind of.. Pokemon's art style getting in the way of them looking too different. They actually reminded me more of some of the past NPCs.
 
Somehow the Tanned and Dark skinned male looks like a girl.
 
Oh please no, I don't want short-haired Serena continuing with Ash's journey through Alola, especially how it's hinted that she'll be staying in Kalos and going under training once Ash leaves Kalos.
 
Generally, the male character doesn't look especially like Ash, they might have wanted to do something with Serena's more recent character model.

Still, though, we all know that the real plot of Sun and Moon will be advanced shipping.
