    Since people can't seem to agree on a colour for a the user names, I'm thinking why not have the default user name colour but in a serif typeface? Italicised serif fonts look nice.
    Yeash I realise this won't be accepted because most users donate for the colour.

    Eh? Don't think the staff would agree. I'm fine with what I got :3

    Personally, I prefer having my user name in a nice color, however; I can see how simply having a different font could be pretty useful. For one thing, Supporters would no longer be mistaken as Staff. Most people, new members especially, see a different colored name and automatically assume that we have the power to help them. I feel so terrible when I must tell them that the long and sad story they just sent me was utterly pointless as I have no power to stop the trolling and or spamming that is plaguing them.

    Plus, we Supporters still get to stand out of the crowd. I can definitely see how this could be useful.
     
    While I agree that it is a good idea, to distinguish supporters from the staff using typeface, the colored username tends to be more of a perk because it stands out more. (I personally would rather keep the Sans-Serif typeface because I find it much easier on the eyes and thus, easier to read.)
     
    I like the colored user name, but seeing as the trouble it is causing, and has caused, I think that this is a really good idea.

    ....what trouble? There has just been some debate over the color, no single decision about anything....EVER....is going to please everyone involved. It'll make it~
     
    I think it sounds like a good idea! I mean, c'mon; don't tell me that this purple isn't a little tacky. No offense to whoever thought of giving supporters purple user names.

    @ gerri's post: Books use serif fonts, the tails help to read in a straight line. xD
    Also… looking at .freaks sig it could even be bold rather than italics.

    I'm sorry, but the single most cheesy thing you can do with text is make it bold. ;;

    Well, in order to have a serif font, it would be a different font altogether since I think every theme we have defaults with a sans-serif font. :P I have no problem with changing the font, though. I think it'll look weird but if people don't mind, I'd deal. :/

    That does seem like a problem.

    I prefer the colored user name. People obviously want a different color. (I think there is one vote for the original.)

    What about people who have stuff like this (日本語の文字),in their names, what will happen to them if the font is changed? (especially Originality Fails, with his apple logo)
     
    Even Japanese fonts have serif and sans-serif. I'm not sure it's called that there, but they have different fonts and it would probably end up being one of the fancier ones or something. I suck at explaining. :[

    Apple logo doesn't show up for me anyway but I assume it'd probably just stay the same. Symbols don't change from font to font.
     
    D= I really think we should stick with the colored username, it's kinda the supporter thing.
     
    I personally don't like this idea so much ^^;
    The colored username was the main perk that made me consider donating in the first place. I can see how this would be helpful in some cases, but I'm too in love with my colorful name :3
