I wonder how many legacy devices are going to be supported with this release. Hopefully LineageOS picks it up quickly and will have a build ready for my two devices.
Again, this right here is a case of where I'd go with a custom ROM just to continue receiving Android's updates.Meanwhile, LG didn't release Android 7.0 yet for the LG G4, good job. Excited to see what new features it will bring though. :)
It's not that hard to really do it. have you never done it?I would believe me, but I'm really scared to do that. D:
How are LG devices hardware-wise? If they aren't too-notch, then that would be a sure fire reason for me to avoid them, even if they were affordable.LG is a special case, keep in mind. A lot of their recent devices have OEM locks that can only be removed with a special code. Those codes are only distributed for European models, rendering American models unmoddable. I think they're the only company that actively prevents users from rooting their devices.
If you're using a G4, and it's an American models, double check which carrier it's from, I think Verizon variants can be unlocked as well, otherwise you're SOL.

Also, hopefully they don't stuff their devices with useless bloatware either.
